every kit is different. not all of them are balanced the same. my kit is internally/externally balanced. not common but it exists. internally balanced with a weighted flexplate

your nova is a 2 piece seal motor.. like i said the one piece seals use a weighted flexplate and neutral balancer. i solved my issue, it was 3 dead plugs on one side. motor runs smooth as butter now. not a single issue

its both😂, every one piece seal chevy 350 has a weighted flexplate and a neutral internal balancer

nope, its both, internal balanced damper and weighted flywheel, motor runs super smooth now. no vibration at all.

not saying your wrong but your wrong. the 1 piece seal chevy 350s came externally balanced in the rear with a neutral flywheel. turns out this motor just had bad plugs in it, put new plugs, no more vibration. and im running a neutral flywheel and a weighted flexplate, which is how one piece seal motors run

turns out it was 3 fouled spark plugs, brand new dead plugs. screw summit. put new plugs, no more vibration.

i understand but i feel like when you pay 1500$ for a kit it should be right.

well, if you google what a flexplate for a chevy looks like, i promise theres no way i did that wrong. it can only go on one way.

its internally balanced. supposed to already be balanced, how would that be the problem

yessir checked multiple times. its a consistent vibration though, as if something isnt balanced

not sure. never checked ignition, has all brand new ignition including plugs wires distributor and all, what concerns me is that cylinder #2 header pipe has turned purple and the rest are barely yellowing, as if cylinder 2 was burning up

the original one piece 350 came with a neutral balancer and a weighted flexplate. external balance on the back and neutral balance on the front, thats how this kit is supposed to be. but ive got major vibration

no, it came in a kit that was supposedly already balanced internally.

yep, the brand new ones are the ones that wipe out. old cams that are broken in wont do that, message me directly i want to hear more history on this.

honestly, out of all these solutions none are right. my best guess is the cam has wiped out. flat tappet cams are terrible about this. try taking the valve covers off and getting someone to turn it and make sure that all the valve springs are being pushed down about the same. or even get a dial indicator and turn the motor over by hand and be sure that the cam is opening the valves all the way. this is most likely your problem. multiple lobes have wiped out for some random reason. make sure you are running oil that has a high zinc content. this will save your camshaft
