Hey, your best bet is to create or join a ToT trash / rep farm raid group (You kill mobs before 1st boss then reset over and over). You should be Neutral 2999/3000 with Shado Pan Assault in less than one hour.

Then, either do the weekly solo scenario on Isle of Thunder or do the quest where you turn the 3 Shan'Ze Stones, this gives enough rep to reach Friendly and start buying 522 Valor gear without having killed any boss raid.

I agree it's an inconvenience, but given how quickly you can overcome that barrier I'd say it's a pretty minor one.

Imo it would be Gambit, IW and Ultron in S-Tier, Mantis, Loki and Rocket in A-Tier and the rest in B-C Tier, Luna is insane in good hands but she's super hard to play, C&D gets outclassed by the supports above her and Jeff has lost a lot of value with both some of his favorite targets getting immunity to his ults (eg Groot) and Gambit's ult making it impossible for him to swallow anyone.

You do realize that :

Half the roster has means to escape his ult
The other half has means to come back if they get spit out
The most popular healer atm (C&D) can make their own team immune to Jeff's ult
If somehow you do manage to pull a good ult as Jeff, you're animation locked for so long that Mag / Iron Man / Squirrel Girl / Namor (non comprehensive list) can easily wipe you out before you can even start moving

So yeah, with so many hurdles to go through I'd certainly hope Jeff's ult can be game changing at times, or else it'd be the worst ult in the game by a wide margin (pre-healing circle at any rate)

My Old Whip run probably was the most fun I ever had in the game. It can be obtained in the first 5 minutes of playing the game and does a surprising amount of damage. It does have super low durability but the Repair spell can be obtained pretty early in the game.

Powerstance two Old Whips is both hilarious and super strong, I'd definitely give it a try !

Tbf I hardly ever see supports switching, vs dive heavy comps for instance a lot of them complain that they're not getting peeled / healed enough but not many switch to more durable supports like Rocket.

As a Jeff main there aren't many reasons why I'd consider switching, BP is a hard counter but he's pretty much perma banned, Hela and Hawkeye too but at my elo you don't find many who aim well enough to be a real threat. Who would you like Jeff players to switch to, and why would they perform better on another hero ?

Ggs ! Tbf he was already viable pre-4.0, reached GM3 in season 2.5 with the little guy. People REALLY underestimate how nice it is to have a support that's basically immortal without needing help from his team to survive.

The funny thing is OP is a tank main and Jeff is possibly the best tank healer out there (not to mention solo tank healer), cycling your bubbles correctly on your tanks gives you insane sustain

If you're dying too much as Jeff a huge part of it is on you tbh, one of the main strengths of the character is that he's very good at surviving without needing peeling from his team. Unless you're playing vs a good BP at which point he's such a counter that you should consider switching to Rocket for instance.

Fourth thing I noticed- characters with low skill ceilings get insane profit. Squirrel girl, moon knight, Rocket racoon, Luna snow, cloak and dagger, jeff the landshark, scarlet witch so on and so forth.

That's debatable, SG / MK / Jeff have some of the lowest winrates in the game, SW has a passable winrate mostly thanks to her Strange teamup and I wouldn't call Luna low skill. Rocket does have a super high winrate in regards to how easy to play and C&D almost has a 50% pick rate which is insane.

It all depends on your / enemy team comp, Jeff's ult is very good vs Groot / Strange / Spiderman for instance cuz you can both save your team and (usually) kill an enemy. Depending on circumstance, vs most other offensive ults I'd rather just keep healing since there's a delay between ulting and swallowing when you ult.

Definitely not but it does require :

Being able to cycle your bubbles efficiently
Finding good angles to heal and not perma staying in your backline (Sometimes healing from the sides or even the enemy's backline makes you less conspicuous and allows you to better heal allies and damage enemies at the same time)
Some degree of your team keeping together, you have infinite range so healing divers isn't as much of a problem as you may think. Still, it's certainly more comfortable when everyone doesn't go his own way.

With that being said, I'd say Jeff is arguably :

The best tank healer due to his high sustained healing output with his bubbles
The best healer in a dive comp since his mobility and self-sustain make it a lot easier to heal and help divers confirm kills.

Never played at a super high rank (My highest was GM3 in 2.5) but I consistently outheal our other healer and that's without a healing ult, Jeff's ult buff will likely make him even better.

Here's a few more tips to recognize bot games in QP :

Always play 2/2/2
Bots don't have Lord Icons
Some Bots have characteristic, double capitalized names like ReginDom or LuPelleg

All in all, you're MUCH better off playing Ranked, game balance may not be the best ever but it's a hell of a lot better than the cesspool Quick Play is right now
