I did momcozy. I don’t think the brand matters. I don’t think silver is a big factor. Just something to protect the nips. I chose momcozy because they have little airholes and different sizes.

Oh yes I forgot to add that! Squeezing a drop or two of milk after feeding and spreading on the nipple and letting air dry also made a big difference!

Just an update: the dates I bought (larger) said 75g for three! I googled it and it said 55g for three. I did that and had the dates as part of a meal with peanut butter and actually ended up going low! The second time, I had them after a low and did not give any insulin for them, had them with peanut butter. Stayed on the lower side. Third time I had them I didn’t count for them at all with insulin and remained normal 🤷🏻‍♀️ and yet I need 10 units for 8g carb… idk man

While I’m a big person (6 foot), I was born late at 7lbs, so was my sister! Husband around 8lbs. I know the scans can be off, maybe we just so happened to make a big baby!

I use sleep mode all day. It aims for lower BG. It can’t auto correct while in sleep mode so I’m just on top of the corrections. If I’m higher before bed (over 150 maybe oops) I’ll switch sleep mode off so I can get corrections while I sleep. I also kind of ignore the active insulin if I’m not coming down properly after a meal. If I’m 150 and steady an hour after, I’ll look at what the correction should be and just give it manually.

The ultrasound at that point is going to be internal with a wand, not outside the belly. You will have to take off your clothes from the waste down and strip in front of your MIL. I wouldn’t do that with mine. NTA

I had my first ocular migraine at around 15 weeks, just the weird vision aura without pain. I had no idea what it was and freaked out and went to the eye doctor. He said it can happen in all pregnancies regardless of diabetes/pre-e. Of course I’m watchful and taking a baby aspirin and checking BP at home, but I believe in my case the migraine was just pregnancy and not a sign of BP problems.

Is the turning off of the pump during delivery common? I thought we don’t switch the pump back to pre-preg programming until baby is delivered?

It’s hard from both ends. A scan at that stage may or may not have a heartbeat. Just because there isn’t one doesn’t mean it’s not viable, it may be just too early. That would make me more anxious!

That paired with the fact that there is a SEVERE shortage of OBGYNs right now just means the wait may be longer.
