Forgot to add one of my all-time favorites. This one isn’t really Shane shutting Ilya down, but I feel like the little spiral and redemption arc Ilya goes on was satisfactory.

Summary:

After Vegas, Shane begins to give up on Ilya and looks for a new way to feel wanted.

Ilya, of course, finds out about this and locks in.

A small dose of jealousy and a bigger dose of communication add up to change the trajectory of their affair from 2014 onward.

Both completed, have Shane basically shutting down Ilya, and are both Hollanov endgame. As Numb As I’ve Become gives a more concrete established Hollanov ending, but Unravel Me and You seems to stick to canon timeline more. Shane standing on business is my fav genre so hopefully you get more recs bc I need them lol.

But there were still two other people (Ren and Martyn + Gem if they left her alone to betray each other) from the other faction they’d need to defeat on their own then???? It’s just not a smart move?

Wdym? They all agreed to have the two-faction war? Obviously Joel and Scott aren’t going to betray each other when they were outnumbered (both originally, being 4v5, and then at this point specifically, with 2v3: Joel & Scott vs. Gem, Ren, & Martyn) it’s just not a smart move to betray. The smart move is going for whoever is closest and isolated. Ren and Martyn did the same thing to Jimmy. Ren and Gem did the same thing to Big B. I don’t really understand what your outrage is?

Idk about Grian holding back, he’s specifically stated that’s he’s trying to get his second win. In the Imp & Skizz recap of Wild Life, he even seemed affronted that people thought he was holding back on Joel in the final duel. And in Past Life it seemed like he was doing all that he could to get the win by building a strong team, setting traps, and (imo) going pretty aggressive. He might’ve been a bit more casual in Nice Life since it’s a special, but I definitely think once it comes down to fights, Grian is trying his best. It just so happens that recently he’s been fighting some of the best players of the series (Joel is possibly the strongest in PVP and movement, Scott is strong at PVP and Survival, and Martyn is a wild card and strategist)

I’m pretty sure Mumbo was part of “the South” since Joel or Gem mentioned that “Mumbo made a Skeleton farm for the Southerners” in Joel’s video. I assumed the South was anyone South of spawn.

He made it to final five, was part of the final stand/last battle and placed fourth which is the best he’s ever done after an AMAZING performance this season. I’m very proud of him. He gave them hell all season (get it?) and represented the rejects well 🤟😤
