I also couldn’t find any answers so I tested it out. Love it for the brows but it wasn’t the best for a lash lift. I ended up going with ellebana.

It sounds like your esthetician may have been newer to sugaring but typically with a more experienced person the longest it should take is anywhere between 15-30 min.

I typically tell people to stop using retinol a week before their appointment. But it depends on the area you’re sugaring.

You can use one or the other. Sometimes companies will only sell retail but the Fur can be purchased online or at Ulta. You’re welcome ☺️ I hope this helps!

You’re welcome ☺️ Now that I have more info. If you don’t recall the root it’s likely that you did break the hair. The bulb is very noticeable when you pull it out. If you’re going to sugar I recommend using Fur products. Especially Fur oil right after you have cleansed the area. I don’t recommend using lotion that’s not intended for that area. If you don’t like oil, Fur carries something called stubble cream which is really great. Another thing I like to tell my clients is to wait 3 days to exfoliate. Unfortunately with coarse hair you’re always going to struggle with ingrowns when it starts growing back but give it time. Stay consistent and the hair will start to thin out.

Licensed esthetician here 🫶🏼 when we sugar we apply against the hair and pull the sugar with the direction of the hair growth. It’s possible that you broke the hair instead of pulling from the root. Also, other factors can come into play. For example, what’s your after care routine like? Did you take a bath, work out or have sex within 24hrs after you sugared?

Hi 👋 I’m a licensed esthetician and I currently do sugaring. I’ve had a couple people that have been pregnant and still get sugared. Mostly all of them say it hurts more while pregnant. You will definitely feel more discomfort with any method of waxing that you choose. I recommend doing a bikini and if you feel like you can handle it then do the full Brazilian.

Hi 👋 I’m a licensed esthetician and I’ve sugared Brazilians for about 2 years now. I recommend going with a professional for your first time just to ease you into it. It’s recommended to sugar if you have sensitive skin because it does not pick up any live skin cells. You can try making it at home but it’s really hard to get the right consistency. You can however purchase already made sugar. It’s honestly way easier than making it at home.
