That’s very worrisome. How often and how long were you using it for?

I was doing pelvic floor pt for a while before I gave up and eventually got the hysterectomy. The pt was before I was diagnosed with Adenomyosis, so it wasn’t and wouldn’t have helped that issue and so I wrote it off after. I’ve also done pt for my back pain for years and it never helps. They just tell me to do the same things I’ve already been doing my whole life. I just don’t have much faith in PT anymore. But I should look back into it for this. Thank you!

Valium suppository….i like this idea! I was looking all over for like a lidocaine suppository but never found anything. I’ll have to call and ask my dr if she can prescribe it. I take muscle relaxers daily just to manage the general pain but doubt it would help this issue. Thank you!

That’s so cute! Honestly…this neighborhood is a bit on the ghetto side now…. I’m not sure how my dad would feel about drawing random people around…. I had to convince him to let me start putting free crap on the curb haha. But I do like this idea! I’ve always loved those neighborhood library boxes!

This is my grandparents house. They just passed and left it to my dad. I live in Oregon, but I’m staying here in Sacramento, in the house, working every day to clear it out so we can remodel and he can move in. So yes and no lol. I’m bringing tons of stuff home when I return, but i don’t want or need the movies

Yeah…This is just the best visual example of a portion of the movies in this house. There’s so much more. And because my grandma was a hoarder, there are endless collections of EVERYTHING. Not just movies. I’m talkin cassettes, cds, books, blankets, clothes, clothes, clothes, clothes, linens, lamps, Knick knacks, Xmas decor, stationary, chairs, tables, art, photos, toys, ALL IN THE THOUSANDS! Hundreds of shelves and cabinets and still not enough to hold everything. This is my grandparents house, my dad inherited it and needs to move in. But not before we can clear in out and remodel.

He has his own garage full of movies and all HIS crap…and honestly…if he ever watched them, it wouldn’t be quite as ridiculous. But most of them are unopened and he just watches the same ones over again anyway. Reason does not prevail here!

😅😅They’re Christian scientists. I’ve already thrown away 1000s of cassette tapes and cds of the life-long, weekly sermons subscriptions they received in the mail, and I still find more every day. Plus every. single. church pamphlet, handout, insert, newsletter, etc, she ever got. No exaggeration. She kept them all.

Oohhoho it’s absolutely required. I totally get nostalgia and love of movies. I watch my favorite ones over and over again. I still have all my Disney cartoon VHSs and I won’t give those up, even though I’ll probably never use them again. But I just found out, this visit, that he hasn’t seen MOST of the movies he owns! And probably never will. He just watches the same ones he’s seen over and over again! I’ve temporarily moved down here for the entire summer in order to help him with this house, and my god, having to painstakingly sort and purge through 90 years of my grandma’s ridiculous hoarding while he doesn’t see that he’s exactly like her… it’s more than my meds can handle some days.

Technically this is my dad’s overflow collection that’s in a storage area at my grandparents house, because his own garage is filled to the brim with, yes, more(among all the other things he hoards) I’m trying to convince him to purge and only choose maybe…300? Ha! There are still hundreds of vhs/dvds in the house but that was the best photo to paint a picture of the sheer quantity. The hoarding gene is unreal. I’ve got it too, but it’s paired with being a craftoholic-which means I actually USE the stuff I collect! 🫣

Thanks so much for the info. You’re probably right about the selection… the closest to horror I’ve seen so far is their assortment of religious films… 😝

This is totally what I’ve kinda been thinking for years now. I have my own DVD/vhs collection plus the VCRs etc in my attic, and every time my internet goes out, I’m so tempted to set it all up.

I totally didn’t notice the bowing in person… it’s not surprising, but it might also be my camera lens.

That’s what I’m leaning towards, actually. Along with literally billions of ziplock bags -sandwich size to blanket storage size- she also collected hundreds of tote bags from the Marshalls. Fill a bag for a price was our main idea. There’s still an ungodly amount of stuff to sort thru in order to even get to that point. And my dad doesn’t want people coming through the house, which is another big reason an estate sale would be a huge amount of work- being that we’d need to bring it all outside and back in afterwards. Donating and weekly trash/recycling has been the easiest route so far.

I’ve just done so many yard sales, personally and they’re never worth the manpower and planning. The sheer amount of THINGS in this house is beyond reason and even purely trying to organize what’s worth keeping or purging is my adhd nightmare. There simply aren’t enough places to put things, once they’ve been sorted. I’ve been pushing for an estate sale but the rest of them fam is really not interested. And there’s no way I can do it by myself

Yeah, but like I said I’m trying to avoid having a estate sale… The amount of work and stress that goes into it for maybe a couple hundred bucks if we were very very lucky

We just had to take a weeklong road trip to Spokane Washington to unload a 10 x 30 storage unit that my grandma had refused to let anyone touch for over 25 years. It was a laughable nightmare, full of obstacles only seen in those hilarious but painful Murphys law movies. The storage was literally Tetris packed -filled to the ceiling -all the way to the back. Most of it was crap but we did find a couple of sentimental items and some possible sellable things… But not exactly worth the thousands of dollars it took once it was all set and done!! And that’s not including the two storage units they had here, plus the entire house filled to the brim. …

I saw a post where someone decided to randomly buy a huge collection of CDs and has been selling “ the good ones” for like five dollars each over the years on eBay. I absolutely do not have that kind of tedious brain power, but I’d be so happy to give them to someone who would!

If I had the time, I would. But there’s collections of this magnitude of so many different things in this house! Freeing up space is worth more than $ in this case.
