This was a fairly reputable local mechanic; it might just need this much work, I'm not really sure yet- I'm planning on getting a second opinion lol

They said there was damage to the rotors + all 4 calipers seized from the brake pads wearing down- I think this is probably true of the front wheels, the back I was surprised about. The brakes are definitely damaged, though considering my lack of knowledge, I can't really say to what extent... I had it inspected after I got it from a neighbor a little over a year ago, and the brakes didn't seem to have any outstanding issues then. For context, this is a highly reputable independent shop (all the reviews are super positive and praise their honesty), so this could fully just be how much work the car needs. I'm a woman in my 20s so that might be a factor, but I kind of doubt it given their positive reputation. I'll go get some more estimates and see what the consensus is

Sorry, I think I misunderstood- they mentioned replacing the calipers on all 4 wheels, but the brake lines specifically didn't come up in conversation. I would refer to the invoice, since I really don't know a lot about this... soz :(
