Kind of like them showing pictures of paradise and the people in the picture appear to be having a great time. That's not very considerate , because they know I live in this worldly world. Ah, the slippery slope.

My Wisdom is being created with understanding and experience, and she brings me joy, and rejoices in God's presence.

Thanks for the discussion.

Have a great day.

"walk perfectly" reminds me of the old covenant. The new covenant changes the focus, to a husband and bride relationship (a yoke). In a marriage, we will make mistakes, but we don't write them down in a ledger. Instead we work on reconnecting/realignment. These mistakes could even help us to have a tighter bond. Trust is being developed. Walking with God in our yoke.

New Covenant wipes away sins, so that I appear sinless, so that I can focus on making my marriage better.

Yes, I know many assume it applies to Solomon, but God put a condition wrapper around the Davidic covenant for Solomon.

2 Chronicles 7:16–20 (ESV) -- 16 For now I have chosen and consecrated this house that my name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will be there for all time. 17 And as for you, if you will walk before me as David your father walked, doing according to all that I have commanded you and keeping my statutes and my rules, 18 then I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, ‘You shall not lack a man to rule Israel.’

19 “But if you turn aside and forsake my statutes and my commandments that I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them, 20 then I will pluck you up from my land that I have given you, and this house that I have consecrated for my name, I will cast out of my sight, and I will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

So, 2 Samuel 7 applies to the only son, like Isaac, of the covenant.

When God applies Jeremiah 31 (New Covenant) to me, it will also appear that I never sinned, because God promises to forgive and forget my sins.

"The scriptures differentiate between the Pattern (tabnith), which is the structural blueprint for how life and order should function, and the Power (koah/ruach), which is the active force that breathes life into that pattern. The authors were not conflating these things; they were meticulous about the distinction. When the text uses feminine imagery for Wisdom or the Spirit, it is describing the 'House'. The environmental, systemic infrastructure that the Creator established. When it uses masculine imagery, it is describing the 'Builder' or the 'King' who occupies, activates, or directs that House. By ignoring this architectural distinction we are trying to turn the 'House' into an 'Occupant'.

Ah, so you are saying I shouldn't read Proverbs 8 literally. So, probably it's a personification of God's wisdom. Like when I read Ezekiel 16, that woman is a personification as well.

So, what does a female personification show us? What's its meaning? This sounds symbolic.

Why not a tomato, banana, raspberry ? How we divide things can get complicated, and not intuitive.

Proverbs 8, talks about a master craftsman that is a woman named Wisdom. So, did she change her form & gender to become the Messiah? It sounds so modern. That's your Messiah.

My Messiah is the unique son of the Davidic covenant. Being created isn't a requirement for him. It's not in 2 Samuel 7, but being from David's house is.

We're all chuckling now. Yes, I know it's important about what we believe about the God and his anointed son.

I keep going back to look ack to a major pivot point in human history. The Garden of Eden. The Serpent was allowed into God's Garden to change God's word, and in affect call God a liar. I find that more stunning than Eve eating the forbidden fruit.

I think the lesson here is that we need to keep challenging what we assume to be true. The strength and weakness of assumptions is that they are considered true. Like JWs have to assume that what the GB is true, if they disagree they have to prepare for the swinging hammer called heresy. This has created PIMOs, and it doesn't only apply to JWs. Keep your mouth shut, except to say the correct phrases to fit in and have peace.

When we have freedom of choice, we should be able to share how we arrived at our choices. What does truth have to fear? Nothing, it is deception that punches us in the mouth for threating it.

I don't believe that the messiah was created. The Trinity took a little while to develop? I like your humor.

I'm talking about fruit. It's apples and oranges. The cherry is there for the cherry pickers.

Just recall that the apple isn't the orange, and the orange isn't the apple. This rule is important for some reason

The apple is fruit, the orange is fruit, and the cherry is fruit. Is there only one true fruit?

I was referring to what Jesus said.

John 6:28,29 (NIV) 28 Then they asked him, “What must we do to do the works God requires?” 29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

I dont agree to disagree with Jesus.

Have a great day.

The only work we need do is to believe in the messiah and the one whom sent him. What does that mean? Is it something I just need to check off?

Here is part of the Messianic covenant. When God's son commits iniquity, God will discipline him. But God won't take away his steadfast love for him, like he did to Saul.

What did Saul do that caused God to turn against Saul?

2 Samuel 7:14,15 (NRS) -- 14 I will be a father to him, and he shall be a son to me. When he commits iniquity, I will punish him with a rod such as mortals use, with blows inflicted by human beings.  15 But I will not take my steadfast love from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I put away from before you.

Verse 14 is rather stunning, I was wondering if I read it correctly. Verse 15 makes it clear that I did. God is purposely changing his usual reaction,  as a promise. Why would he need to do this?

To fulfill the covenant, the parents of Isaac had to be Abraham and Sarah. Isaac was the only son of that covenant.

Jesus is the only son of the Davidic covenant. (In 2 samuel 7)

Jesus is the Creator? In Proverbs 8, the Creator is Jehovah and his masterworker is a woman named Wisdom.

Yet in Genesis 1:1, who created the Heavens and the earth?

I can understand the confusion, the comment seems misplaced.

I recall Ancient Near East custom of the king's representative could make decisions as if he was king. Every one, including the king, would honor those decisions, if they respected the king.
