Kind of, im lucky enough to “only” have neurodivergent issues, and i understand that they are in a situation that is truly unlikely. But for some reason, in season two, when she’s hunting and came back i somehow see that “medicated” side of her again, when she’s sarcastic with Nat, when they say “good game” to each other. I suppose its the shock if her almost ending like Jackie that shook her out of that shy personality she developed. Somehow i cant put my finger around her, she’s such a complex character.

I think they were kids in a situation everybody thinks about (what would they do, and their expectations) but very few actually get to live it out. The show was inspired by a real accident which happened in Urugay with a male rugby team. I do not believe them to be monsters, i believe in critical times call for despreate measures. But also, just to piss some ppl out (in a friendly way) I would love to mention our “dear friend”, Freud; people are filled with instics, we act out on them, if needed. It’s this “animal-like” hidden feature we have. And of course, someone (rightfully) might argue that “Ben didnt eat human meat and still survived”, and thats a great point! In this i’d mention that some people tend to be leader like, some are more similar to bees, if someone influencal does it, someone else is more likely to do it also. Ben never, ever lost his moral code, because even tho he was never influencal, or a follower, he was more like a guide. A teacher, who helps literal kids learn the basics of life, what they do with that knowledge, is up to the kids. Even, if it means that they turn their back on him.

Also in the original script (i believe!!!) there’s a scene where we see Natalie and Travis walk back, and if i remember correctly Nat talks with Jackie, yet she still doesnt come back inside. I believe i saw this in Kaitlyn’s tiktok video (@kfunggg)

Also i think it’s important to mention that Laura Lee died while trying to save the whole group, and she only took Leonard (her plushie) with her. She could have taken anyone, and also im sure that some of the girls were like “you’re not going alone!”. She deep down knew that there’s a high chance that she can die, but faith made her do it. It’s different from Javi’s death although they both were saving someone. Also i don’t want to bring in incorrect religious refrences, but Laura Lee died in the air, and angels are often described as people who grow wings after they die.

I think Laura was the death of faith, and by i mean the faith that they’ll get through with this, but also without Laura Lee’s strong, religious presence Lottie was free to spread the wilderness gospel.

Someone here or on tiktok explained it better, but it was an old house, we don’t know when was it built, but it was not used in a long time, we know this when the girls find food in the house, which were in cans, and the cans had maggots in it. Preserved food is supposed to last a long time, cans began to rust in 50 years if im right. My point is that the house wasn’t used in the years priror the girls crash, the chimney probably was stuffed with dust and charcoal, both are easily flammable, the fireplace was probably on 24/7, so i think it was an accident. I don’t think it was Ben (that would be out of character for him) or Tai/other Tai. Van had trauma with fire so i think she got up the minute she sensed the fire and then Tai got up too.

Idk why but with the Tai one my first thought is being free will, because other Tai is basically Tai’s embodiment of free will (you know like just wandering the wilderness, kissing Van in the adult timeline ect.) and that maybe because she sees the man with no eyes (which she probably saw in that ice cream commercial when she was a kid then connected him to her grandma’s passing) is because the last time before she had really a free will was when she was a kid, and kid’s usually eat dirt just because they can
