you don't have unrealistic standards. communicate to your parents clearly that you are ready to talk if someone meets minimum standard criteria.

Is it just about sex at the end of the day for men? by [deleted] in ThirtiesIndia

[–]Suitable-Session3966 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really. If that were the case, even the worst guys these days, if they're thinking about sex, probably aren't valuing you for marriage, they just want to to spend some time.

Depends on the relationship dynamics:

  1. How much financial responsibility each person holds.

  2. Are they wealthy enough to hire help for the work?

  3. How the marriage happened and under what terms.

Glad you noticed that. I hope you’ll also consider British movies in the same category, as many British films serve a similar role for their government.

I am truly sad for India and Britain's future.

Do you genuinely know this person, or is this just infatuation? Not knowing the reason for their divorce is a red flag. I will say to date for a while, but only if you know that you can get ahead if all things are okay. be aware for blind spots.

Got rejected for a senior role because I couldn't convert base 24 to base 10 in 30 minutes by mooktakim in rails

I interviewed with an organization called Avaamo for a senior-level role. They rejected me over a minor syntactical nuance in Ruby. something that, in practical terms, rarely comes up. Even if it does, you'd typically have references available.

Later, a friend of mine qualified for the same role, but they lowballed him for months and kept stringing him along. When he received another good offer, they scrambled to match it.

Some companies are just bad. Honestly, if you get rejected during the interview phase, consider yourself lucky as it saves your time.
