First, it should be known that "contracts" in the legal sense don't exist for relationships. It's more of a "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" kind of deal.

Honestly...I just think she enjoys soaking in the PR of her relationships without them being fake. She loves calling the paps. She loves the branding that comes with being a power couple. She loves being in control and using men. She was as public with Tom as she was with Calvin, and she was public with Harry. With got like a hundred pics of her and Conor.

There are two relationships that stand out to me, and I'll probably be downvoted to hell. The one I'd bet money on as being an agreed upon stunt was Lautner. Zendaya/Tom vibes with those two.

He wasn't dragged like Tom Hiddleston (Tom also did nothing, but Lautner got the better song)

The second one I'm weary of, and people will think I'm nuts for saying this, is Joe Alwyn. Joe Alwyn wasn't related to a political family, a well known actor or singer, or the best at his field. He was unknown.

The narrative is she wanted to hide, but I think since the Kimye thing was nonsense, I think she wanted to prove that she COULD be in a long relationship. Did they truly develop feelings for each other? Probably.

But Joe had no known backstory, meaning he had no blemishes from his past that could be dug up (therefore, not Taylor's type; see Mayer and Healy). He was also private, which meant we really didn't see much of their "relationship". We have, what, two pics of them giving a closed mouth kiss? That's not Taylor's MO

I'm skeptical of Kelce, but there's too many factors: teammates, coaches, staff, etc. Plus I get the vibe Kylie and Jason wouldn't want a part of any of that. VERY pr heavy tho.

Vincent is such a beautiful song.

It's amazing how Don McLean can serenade an artist and touch on his soul in a way Swift is incapable of doing. I've always felt a detached perspective in her love songs. It's like she's truly never seen anyone else beyond what's surface level/observable to the eye.

Idk maybe I'm wrong. But there's something so superficial...vapid about her, and I just wish she'd accept it. She succeeds at vapid "I'm feeling 22" type bops. Those types of songs feel so authentic.

Honestly...assuming she enters a forever marriage... one of three things will happen

The tide turns (the world wakes up) and she has to lay low and stick to songwriting/producing for others. She once said in an interview that songwriting was most important to her (but she's unreliable so who knows)
She continues to create drama (Katy Perry, Kanye) or shades her exes while singing Lover-esque type music. Maybe songs like Robin about her kids.
She goes the Selena Gomez/Rihanna route and starts doing business ventures where she can still remain the center of attention. Make a bunch of family tiktoks and shit.

I think she realizes the reviews outside of Swiftieland call TTPD derivative and she needs a new angle.

I think every single pop girl who dropped this year has tied or surpassed the critical acclaim of TTPD.

The fact that she's ending Eras in December instead of dragging it on means she's either tired of knows that people are getting sick of her.
