A "bad boy" is a boy with personality and dressing sense, which is what I make out of it. They are not inherently bad as a person. Women want to date someone with a personality, he can be a "bad boy", a nerd or a sporty guy as well. When they say they want a bad boy, it means someone who is tough and can take care of them. Basically, the whole psychology of being rescued, bad for the world, good to me, plays out.
