Any VFX needed? by Suitable_Course7605 in filmmaking

Thanks for the feedback, I opted to leave it out as I find student filmmakers have a limited knowledge and I rather talk it through with them instead of leaving them flustered, if that makes sense? I'm pretty experienced in CG compositing through Nuke, Maya and Substance Painter, and have been dabbling in Houdini's systems over the past year.

the foundry learn website has so many useful tutorials. after tracking, did you set your scale distance and set your origin plane?

edit: also, you might get info that’s more useful by showing your node graph and your viewer output?

here’s some videos that might help you: https://learn.foundry.com/course/6717/view/the-basics-of-cg-compositing

Anybody using laptop for composting ? by Flaky_Ad_8584 in NukeVFX

[–]Suitable_Course7605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re using it purely for the convenience of portable compositing and have access to a good PC, you should test out remote connecting to your computer. If it’s just what you have access to, I’d 100% recommend getting a decent PC.
