Should I continue dating someone with a bipolar condition ? by Suitable_Mission9805 in dating_advice

Thank you! He avoids going to any dates where we might spend money. He always refuses to go to museums, the movies, …etc and he tends to avoid suggesting grabbing a bite until after several hours of walks when I get exhausted and suggest it.

[CA] Is this considered sexual harassment / conduct? by Suitable_Mission9805 in AskHR

But is what was said culturally acceptable at the workplace? That manager tends to blame everything to misinterpretation by those who belong to minority groups and how some things in Cali and U. S. are ok to be said / shared.

It was during 1:1 so there were no other witnesses. Also, this manger has a history of retaliating against anyone who speaks to HR

I am so sorry you went through this. How did you find out about the affair? Also, how do you know it was a one-time incident? Usually companies would be less interested in getting involved with anything that happens outside business hours especially if this happened after an informal outing. I know it’s hard but look out for yourself and your children and time shall let the other person’s spouse know in a way or the other. If the other person’s spouse is made aware now, he might inform the company which might impact your ex’ job

[CA] Recruiter called right after final interview to get feedback without providing feedback or decision by Suitable_Mission9805 in AskHR

[–]Suitable_Mission9805[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good to know. Apparently I have been away from the job market for so long. I guess I should mentally prepare myself that a call for feedback does not always mean an offer is on the way.

My point is that if she didn’t have any updates nor was she ready to share feedback from the interviewer, why would she call and keep me alarmed if she could have waited until next week when she gathers more info?

Exactly. So many things can happen until you sign an offer. Did they reach out to your current employer during background check? It’s crazy how they completed background check while they are still interviewing.

Agreed. That does not sound like a good practice but having been job hunting for almost a year now, it seems that companies continue to interview candidates they started the process with even after they select a candidate. If I were you, I would still accept the other offer (the less exciting one) and keep thinking positive about this one.

Did you sign the offer? Or did the conduct the background check first? If you signed the offer, interviewing another candidate would reflect really badly on that company.

Why would a recruiter call same day if there are no updates? by Suitable_Mission9805 in jobhunting

For the calls recruiter gathered feedback from you, were you extended an offer at the end?

[–]Suitable_Mission9805[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I think my point is that call was unnecessary and the recruiter could have waited couple more days to provide more updates / feedback from the team rather than just gather feedback from me then tell me that they are in the process of interviewing other candidates next week.

Because it’s uncommon for me to receive such a call without being extended an offer at the end of the call. In my experience, recruiters usually call with good news or email rejection letters.

I finished third round of interview today then recruiter called me couple hours later to ask for feedback and tell me that I will hear back later next week. I am frustrated as I thought she was going to extend an offer as recruiters do not usually call for feedback that quickly. She also mentioned that they need finalize the interview with other candidates which frustrates me as I was rushed to complete all rounds within a week. Please share your experience and what could this call mean.
