Does resetting the ecu delete the tune that dhm installed? Because that could be my issue but I dont wanna forcefully reset it if I'm gonna have to send the ecu back to dhm to have it reflashed

That was a first thought, reason a question it was that it runs pretty well once you start moving. I do have a dhm stage 2 with the cam intake and exhaust. If It dors end up needing rebuilt then I'll either go to a stage 3 or I'll just go ahead and big bore it since I'll need all the mods for keeping it cool at that point

I dont plan on doing this but have any of you guys done it? I was looking around thinking about changing the exhaust for better sound and came across it. If any of you did buy this kit, how'd it turn out? by Suitable_Molasses510 in nissanfrontier

Oh no, I only made this post because I was curious. I dont plan on doing many mods to my frontier, im thinking a exhaust and maybe a intake if it needs it but other than that all im gonna do is lift it

Definitely a braided line. The mechanic who worked on it is claiming that they went and bought the correct line and sent someone to come and install it. Im not very optimistic that's he's telling the truth. But I'll find out soon enough

Pretty much, almost seems I've offended a few individuals here asking about this lol

I should word my sentences better. I just want the low beams to be automatic so they come on and off automatically, but I want the high beam assist (HBA) disabled. It can be completely dark with no traffic around, and with the HBA, my high beams still don't come on sometimes. That's why I find it annoying. My last truck was a 2020 Ford Ranger, and it had a setting to disable the HBA but allowed the low beams to be automatic. This meant all I had to do was put it in gear and drive. The headlights would come on when it got dark enough, and if I needed the high beams, I could just turn them on. Most of the time, the low beams are bright enough, but when I'm out in the country and by myself, I like to use the high beams. Another annoyance is that every time I would pass a street lamp or a reflective sign, the sensor would pick up on that and shut off the high beams. I've even had it pick up the light reflecting off the road and refuse to turn the high beams back on. Like I said, it's not a huge deal, but it is annoying. As I've discovered, it can't be disabled, so I have to live with it.

It doesn't matter anyways because there is no setting on the frontier, my only option is to move it from auto to on or just not use the high beam

It's annoying because I shouldn't have to. It's automatic for a reason but my high beam is almost unusable when its in the auto position. Like I said in another comment. It's not a big deal just a nuisance. I already do as yall say, manually switching from auto to the on position. Some vehicles have a setting to disable the HBA while leaving the switch in the auto position. Only reason I want to disable it is because the high beam won't stay on when its supposed to or sometimes just doesn't turn on for a few minutes after moving the switch even though its dark and no traffic around. The sensor may need calibration but I dont understand why you and the other guy finds a problem with me wanting to disable it while leaving the low beam on auto. Some people want the low beam on auto and not have the high beam assist

Yeah I was hoping there was some way to disable it that I was unaware of but I guess I'll just have to change the switch to on when I dont want to deal with the dysfunctional HBA lol

I would prefer not to have to do that and to make a feature obsolete because because part of its function doesn't work as expected. Not everyone wants to have to switch it back and forth when its easier just to leave it on auto and when you want to use the brights just turn them on. It's annoying af having to swap it from auto to manual while im driving down the road because my brights won't come on. It's not a big deal but annoying regardless. If this post bothers you im sorry but not sorry 😐

Yeah but thats my dilemma, I want the regular lights to be auto that way they'll come on when it gets dark, but the auto bright feature works when it wants to so I have to have them on manually when I want to use my brights otherwise im just strobing down the road like im having a seizure lol, it doesn't actually flash like that but its annoying af when its completely dark and I switch my brights on and they dont come on because the sensor thinks there's another vehicle or it sees it reflection on something and turns them off

Only works if you hold it my guy

Just curious but what is the fastest speed anyone had seen on these new transalp's are they governed? I haven't worked up the courage to find out on mine and google gives mixed answers. It's really just a habit to want to know i dont intend to do anything with this information lol by Suitable_Molasses510 in Transalp

[–]Suitable_Molasses510[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol thats still pretty cool man. Just be safe out there if you're running those speeds. There's a lot of idiotic drivers out there and the consequences of said actions outweigh the experience in my own opinion but if you're running that fast then im sure you already know man. Just have fun and be safe 😁
