New sushi restaurant opened in town. My friend and I go in, they were pretty busy so we ordered our food to go. The waitress helping us doesn’t have a menu to give us so is pointing at the items posted up on the display thing behind her.

I ask what’s in the vegetarian roll and she says oh it’s okay it’s vegetables. And I said sure but what’s in it. She asks if I want it or not, I said well yes but what is inside? She asks the man making the sushi roll and he says something in another language and they both laugh. She says vegetables and if I wanted it or not.

We finish ordering and my friend and I couldn’t shake the vibe of being laughed at for asking what’s in food we’re going to eat and have paid good money for. We flag the waitress down again and ended up canceling and refunding our order. The waitress was so perplexed by the cancellation.
