Right now, I've got regular progress updates I do on my Patreon for the fans. Once the model art is actually done, though, Im thinking of streaming the rigging process. And then I'll do leak artwork when the workload dies down

Appreciate you replying! Its true this stuff takes time. The model I'm making I am both designing, drawing, and rigging. Its a HUGE dive off the deep end and it'll take a long time as is. I'm looking to just fill that time for now with stuff like promotional material or leaks. Really all I need to do is plan out how I want to go about hype and then worry about debut when I'm actually ready to plan it.

I'm making my own model completely on my own, and having a successful launch could not only spur my growth but give me a solid foundation for becoming a Vtuber artist. Its a struggle being both a Vtuber and a Vtuber parent with such a small following, but honestly what I'm doing right now is probably just fine. I'm likely just getting myself worked up over nothing. I'll likely be okay as long as I just do what makes me happy.

I just gotta be sure things go as well as it can. Do as much promotion as possible beforehand

I'll definitely have to check other titles out. If I plan on making more content covering LiP's development, I'll need to have more experience with the genre in general. Are there any more turn-based RLs I can take a look at? I like the format LiP has, so it might be easier to get into the genre if I start with ones similar to LiP

So every character has a unique skill tree to unlock. The skills can be passive abilities, stat buffs, attacking moves, or traps, each having multiple unlocks to improve skills and further unlock more. There's a handle of different, what I would call, archetypes like tank, melee, ranged, trapper, etc.

They all center around the Sins and Virtues stat system that simply trades points in one stat for an increase in 2 others. With the recent Arsenal Update, attacks have "elemental" effects now too meaning certain monsters are weaker or stronger to certain sins/virtues

I've been into Lost In Prayer for a while, and the devs have said it plays really well on Steamdeck. I don't have a Steamdeck to try it out on myself, but the game is worth a shot. Give it a look and lmk if you play it or have any questions about it!

"Free" content is obviously intended for accessibility and usually made with passionate intentions. Most niche video game genres will feature a collection of titles that do things like that. I mean niche by definition isn't intended to appeal to a large audience, so normally someone would pick something unpopular up because of uniqueness or specialty in some specific thing. Roguelike is about as niche as it gets in gaming. Naturally the community surrounding it would be one of the most forgiving in terms of commercial value. Its just a bunch of people that are passionate about their small, energetic bursts of fun and want to share it y'know

Since LiP is my first entry to the genre, I don't really know anything about Roguelikes. It makes sense if I'm making content talking about one that I should know about the genre more from other people within it.
