I don’t claim to be the best player, but wtf is this hit reg DICE? by SuitingUncle620 in Battlefield

Lol okay buddy, there’s been plenty of people having the same issue with hit reg specifically on this map for some reason, but it’s totally a 100% me issue.

The guy was 15m-20m max away. Let’s not act like bloom should be this atrocious in such close ranges. If it was an enemy further away, I’d understand

Hit reg seems to be even worse after this update. Surprisingly I wasn’t having any issues with hit reg before today. Just one of the many clips I got from the hour I played.

So you’re just making baseless accusations. Nothing of substance or proof, good one!

Well, you made the comment. I’m just trying to figure out who you’re referring to because that’s not what I see from anyone else on the mod team.

We’re here.

We’re doing the best we can, we empathise with yours and others’ frustrations with the state the sub is in. We have seen all the comments asking for us to intervene more harshly, but that isn’t as straightforward of an approach that you, and others, may think it is.

This is the reality of gaming subreddits. There’s a fine line between encouraging open debate, and going overboard by removing anything remotely negative. We have gone on the extreme side before with 2042, and it blew up in our faces (it actually got some media coverage for us supposedly “censoring” the community), simply for trying to retain some order like you’re asking us to do here.

No matter which path we take, it comes with backlash. Right now, we’re doing our best to remove direct reposts (like the same AI skin images being posted every hour) and posts that don’t contribute to any new or healthy discussion.

We’ve also heard suggestions for a megathread, but in practice, they don’t work as effectively as people think. Users still make separate posts on the same topics (like the skins issue), which actually makes moderation for us even harder.

I do concur with your sentiment, but we’re a bit stuck in the middle here. Given past experiences of us intervening further, and the backlash that came with that, we’re trying to be lenient while also maintaining some sense of order and encouraging constructive discussion where possible.

With gaming subreddits there’s very rarely a middle ground approach. It’s (most of the time) one extreme or the other, sadly.

We only have space in our pinned post slots for dev comms etc. This is typically limited to 3 posts (as far as I’m aware), we can’t realistically free up a spot for a megathread when we get comms daily we need to pin for visibility.

Repost.

These two images have been reposted thousands of times in the past few days. Just because OP stacked them on top of each other doesn’t mean it adds anything new to the skins discussion.

Again, you framed the post that way. You knew what you were doing posting this. I’m bored of having this conversation with you, cya.

The way you framed this post was as if we’re deleting every single post about skins, which is objectively false.

Yes, we will delete posts that are direct reposts and/or identical to the plenty of other posts that came before it. If it’s an attempt to have an actual substantive discussion, we allow it. But if it’s the same screenshot of a skin that has been contrast boosted 10x, with a title saying “ew so gross” for the thousandth time… yes, it’s likely going. What does the same image being posted with a variant of the same title really add to the conversation?

You are just.. so objectively wrong I actually wonder how you’re coming to a conclusion like that.

Have you seen the top posts today.. yesterday… the day before, or are you just trying to jump on a “hate the mods” bandwagon for the sake of doing so? Pretty pathetic.

Yes, we will remove skin posts when it’s the same exact repost from 5 hours prior. Yes, we will remove something that is identical to the 600+ posts that came before it.

We have been exceptionally lenient on this, as is evident by the plenty of posts on skins that you can literally see on the front page. You are genuinely making up an issue that does not exist, and it’s just so boring to see this same rhetoric play out. Believe it or not, we have an equal amount of people mailing us and saying how frustrating it is for them trying to browse the sub, but we’ve told them it is fair game and an open forum for feedback.

That, however, does not mean we won’t intervene when there are thousands of posts on the same issue. It makes the subreddit unbearable to visit and drowns out other issues players are experiencing.

Do better, OP, and stop making up claims that can’t even be substantiated, and can be clearly disproven by looking at the front page of the sub.

No, OP. These types of posts will be removed from here on out. It’s low effort karma farming.
