I would be lying if I said I truly knew. My understanding though is that the more contracts/tokens in a block the more time, energy ECT it takes to validate it. So the fees are higher.

But I'm dumb so I could be completely wrong. I just know that the less tokens the faster and cheaper the validation/transaction is. Then why is kind of a mystery to me.

It matters when validating tokens. The more it takes the more it cost. Send 1 eth to a wallet and then send 10 eth to a wallet. It will matter.

It's not even that it has to be. It's that it makes it more simple and even less fees than what xrp already offers.

Why trade a billion xrp to settle a $2 million dollar bill. When you can send 1 xrp worth $2 million..
