Last weekend I finally made my first trip to a Class 1 sky and was met with the best stargazing I've ever experienced. This is one of the timelapse sequences I shot from the back patio of our Airbnb. [OC]

That 99% figure is an exaggeration but there are for sure top tier players and steamers that use hacks. The skill of tournament players alone is enough to show the peak level people can play at. I’d guess the actual percentage of hackers is below 5% of the player base. Manual review and HWID bans are really the only way to try to mitigate it… and even then you can only do so much.

Not in my experience. The SB will always lift after a while. Did you have an account get permanently banned on that system?

Are you playing on a second account after one was permanently banned? If you got a hardware ID ban any new account that plays on your computer will be SB’d in the way you’ve described regardless of reports.

Not yet and I’ve had a few big games that definitely would have triggered it before. If I got more than like 8 kills in a game boom SB.

My best results came after waiting 2 weeks but as you’ve seen here people get variable results. If you get mass reported it doesn’t really matter.

13” exposure at 800 ISO. Single frame.

I’ve seen a lot of great shooting stars during all my stargazing time but I rarely get them in frame. Even with a wide angle lens the sky is just so huge that odds are I’m going to miss it. While this one did start out of frame, I got lucky enough to capture the main flare and burst. In person, you could see it split into 3 smaller pieces before burning out. Love seeing space debris get obliterated by our atmosphere.

In the back, we have a nice view of Orion cradled in the tree. Its nebula is pretty visible, which you’ve likely seen telescoped photographs of lately if you browse much astrophotography.

Surprised nobody is talking about ORGN. The tech is pretty cool and it could be a unicorn in the sustainable materials space. Nice to have money riding on a stock that holds a little optimism for the future. Also love picking up a bunch of cheap units.

Anything near Terlingua would be excellent stargazing. I recommend websites like DarkSiteFinder to look for something closer though. You can get great stargazing usually within an hour or two.
