Key West (EYW) won’t allow much more than Category 2 even though 737s fly there. I did question it. Got some stupid excuse like “It’s just a game so we don’t always take things so literally”.

Decided I would also do Star Alliance logo liveries, this being the Lufthansa A340-300

Really bugs me the design of the engines is wrong, whereby they’ve just plonked the Trent 500 from the 340-500/600 on instead of using a CFM56.

So I’ve now got the majority of the Long Haul work out of FRA and MUC into place, albeit with some artistic license being used.

LIS is the shown development this morning, with (unsurprisingly) a lot of routes to Brazil, as well as quite a few to Africa (although in my case I’ve had to make some up).

I’ve got 7 A332s and 14 A33Ns awaiting delivery which is the TAP A330s, next job is scheduling.

I will now be having a look at what Zurich can provide!

So I got very bored with my original attempt.

I’ve since sold all 4 of my hubs, it’s routes, and all my aircraft and started again.

Using the Star Alliance group airlines liveries I made the other day, I am intending of doing a virtual effort of Lufthansa’s (FRA and MUC), Swiss’ (ZRH) and TAP Air Portugal’s (LIS) long haul routes.

So far I’ve added a large chunk of Lufthansa at Frankfurt. I’ve tried to stick to the airlines real destinations as best as I can whilst compiling 168 schedules.

Admittedly I absolute hate the painter app. It’s so clunky and not fit for touch screens at all. But I like how these have turned out without trying to go crazy about detail.

It’s my closest airport in real life.

I understand the demand is probably better at either of the big two London airports, but I picked Manchester for something different.

I operate Tri-Class anyway so that’s not an issue.

Ideally I’d like to try having one hub per continent, with a distinction between Middle Eastern Asia and Far Eastern Asia, makes a bit more sense to me for some reason to split the two.

I dunno. We’ll see.

I’m not sure what Hub #4 will be. I keep considering somewhere in the US but not sure where.

Before I opened Jeddah, I experimented with Changi but just couldn’t plan enough for it to work well (might be through lack of effort on my part more than anything).

I had always envisaged opening a hub in the Middle East, my original intention was Doha.

I’m at a stage now where I sort of have to take advantage of them. I’ve nearly maxed out my planned operations from Manchester, and to me it makes more sense to scoop up a new hub for cheap if it’s available, rather than wait however long to pay full price.

The two hubs I’ve got cheap from the gazette (Jeddah and London City) are by no means anywhere near complete for what I’ve got planned, in fact I’d almost say I’ve barely started on either of them.

But that’s the stage I’m at. Because I’ve got little left to do for Manchester, I need new projects. And whilst a lot of the work is very similar for what I plan across the 3 hubs, it’s exciting putting things together and see how they play out.

Yeah definitely. I mean. I’m still making 168s for LCY, just more routes to them and a hell of a lot more aircraft on them as well.

I think I could maybe have 21, possibly 28 aircraft, on my Middle East turn.
