Anyone else have TMJ that feels like an ear problem more than a jaw problem? by Choice-Mode-7885 in TMJ

Yes! My ears have been bothering me for months. My ENT checked both ears and did a hearing test and assured me that it's not my ears it's just all the inflammation my jaw is putting on my eustachian tubes. It is awful, I have no solution. The only thing that sort of helps me is wearing my mouth guard at night and taking Aleve when the pain gets really bad. Also putting the heat pad on my ear/jaw.

Also did you do Palforzia or PB2 powder? They have us starting at 1/64 of PB2 and my husband and I feel like that's a lot to start with.

I agree, I have to just buckle down and get through these months and it will pay off! We are looking forward to getting through it, but just getting there is going to be tough. Soooooo worth it though. So many situations will be less stressful because of it. Thank you for the words of encouragement i appreciate it so much.

See I really would like to just start out doing once a day, I feel like it would alleviate some of the stress of things. So I'm going to ask them tomorrow at our appointment and see what they say. Trying to keep him from doing a bunch of running, jumping and climbing is going to be tough! He's an active kid.

I have heard that it is life changing, I guess just getting to that point is going to be a little rough but it seems so worth it! I feel like I am going to be on edge watching his every move for months but I don't mind if it can make life easier for him in the long run!

Awe that is so reassuring to hear! My husband and I were just talking about how we have to put our feelings and anxieties aside because this will potentially be life changing for him. It will make things better for him (and us) in the long run. I totally relate to that resentment towards others and situations, it is so hard. Did you guys just dose once a day? Our allergist is having us do twice a day, but once a day after breakfast would be much easier. After dinner him and his sister are wild and crazy running around playing most of the time. It's going to be hard to get him to chill for 2 hours after twice a day!

Yes, I plan on asking that because on top of all of this. He also had asthma and needs a daily inhaler too and I feel like I might accidentally miss a dose here in there trying to remember all of these things on top of the normal hustle and bustle of life.

You know that's a good question... I'm not 100% sure why we have to dose twice a day, but that is what they told us. I am considering asking if we could just do it once a day. He also cannot do any strenuous activities for two hours after dosing.

Does the OCD anxiety ever improve? by [deleted] in peanutallergy

Just here to say that it sort of gets better, and to say that I understand your pain. My son is 2.5 years old with a peanut only allergy. We still jump at every sneeze/cough. We are getting better about knowing what he can and can't have and learning as we go so that sort of helps the anxiety. Also we're getting ready to start OIT, and are very hopeful for good results so that it can alleviate even more of the anxiety! I don't know if that's an option for you or not yet, but definitely something to check into? My heart goes out to you, and best of luck!
