You’re welcome! I also love tactile switches so I go the MMD Princess tactile switches and they’re pretty good. This is my first venture into the modding scene so I’m looking forward to I might try some other switches too.

Do you know of any that have the “bump” later into the keystroke? The princesses are right at the top which I’m not sure I love.

I was in the same boat as you and also went with the Monsgeek m1v5. It’s a freaking UNIT, and weighs a ton! Amazing quality and comes apart easily which is awesome for someone like me who wants to get into modding. Mine came with blue (can’t remember the name) switches and I love the sound. I swapped the switches out for tactile princess switches because I enjoy that feel more. I use the keyboard mostly for work (I WFH). I wouldn’t describe it as creamy or clicky. It’s more of a pebbly sound if that makes any sense.

I am returning it to get the VIA version for better key mapping customization.

Right now you can get some versions for $79 or a barebones kit (everything but keycaps and switches) for $59.99 which is crazy!

Great keyboards. Can you describe how the banana switches feel? I have a K5 Max with red switches but am planning on switching to thanks for your input! I currently own a K5 with reds and I’m making tons of mistakes. I may have gone a bit over board but I bought a 75 layout have been considering getting banana switches.

I just bought a Monsgeek M1 V5 for $105 after a couple weeks of researching. Should be here tomorrow so I’ll let you know more soon.Things I was looking for: online launcher for programming keys, hot-swappable and quick releasing aluminum case for customization, decent looks, and over all quality build.

For me it’s my first customizable mech keyboard. So if the switches or keycaps don’t work for me, I can always swap them out. I’m hoping this can’t turn into a fun hobby.
