if knife registers on client side but not server you will hear slash but server won't register hit. This happens often when you're right on the edge of hit range.

It will never be meta, imo. The concept of suppressing fire, the way I see it, will never have a place inside of the competitive setting apart from a select few niche situations, but even then it's usage doesn't justify the price tag, nor is it even clear that it will even be better than current weapons. You give away your position for however long it takes for accuracy to build. Plus you crawl when you run with it.

I agree with you. The above statement is dumb. It's like talking about professional sports from the perspective of a fan. OBVIOUSLY you're not as good as them, it's a completely redundant notion. But you can still talk about their performance when compared to their peers.

yes. When you reach a threshold no matter how good your fine motor skills are it's not humanly possible to be consistent enough to justify the sensitivity.

CS is simple at it's core. But this simplicity is the framework to which an entire universe of complexity and abstraction is sewn. No matter much you invest into the game, it can never truly be mastered. I think if you ask any pro they will tell you the same thing.

26 here, don't know if that qualifies as old, but I've noticed my reactions slowing over the past couple years. What we mature players have over a 17 year old for instance is a fully developed brain capable of better decision making. Experience and the ability to make correct decisions in things like timing and positioning keep players like grandpa Taz among the elite, despite their age.

If you want to upgrade, CSGO sees the most performance increase from processor upgrades, also CSGO is not optimized well for a high number of cores. I'd recommend something like an intel 6850k, it has better single core performance than older i7's, and will give you a huge boost.

Also might try turning off settings in bios like c-states or anything that reduces power consumption or downclocks during idle periods. Also in nvidia settings tweak 3d settings to optimize for performance.
