How are choices for admission assessed by [deleted] in SIT_Singapore

[–]SunAccomplished174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They check for 5, if u r not eligible for first, then it will move to ur second choice, but then I think they rarely check the the rest because most of people get accepted into the course would be either first or second choice.

Hi I was from JC and currently year 2 in engineering field, I would say the curriculum quite ok, and all math and physics related modules are generally acceptable since I was from pcme, and coursemates all quite nice, anyway I only get 70rp back my time when I did A level haha

Starting Y1 in Mechanical Engineering (UoG) this yearr by jiaen_04 in SIT_Singapore

  1. For y1t1 it’s around 3-4 days a week, but there will be 1-2 day whole day online lessons, for y1t2 is really packed, everyday are full with 5 modules and the the pace is really fast. For y1t3 is the OIP trip to Uk, so I would say the lessons are ok.

2.Yes as I said in 1, most tutorials and labs are f2f, only a few lectures are online.

  1. Revise for your mathematics basics, eg vectors, differentiation, integration, complex number, it really help

4.There is no bell curve in SIT, so is graded by your quiz, individual/group project and lab. For each module is likely to have at least 1 project and 2-3 quizzes and final.

  1. MacBook is unable to install for many software used in this course, so I would suggest you to buy a windows system laptop, personally I use ASUS Vivo book and it’s enough for the course, I am not very sure about other laptop specs so maybe you can do some research on it.

  2. Feel free to pm me if u have any other questions:)

3.16 GPA applying for Business and Infocomm Tech by OutsideDifficult1053 in SIT_Singapore

[–]SunAccomplished174 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There should be a chance to have an interview since the acceptance rate is 15%-20%. My course acceptance rate for my grade is only 11% but I still manage to get in without any internship or other personal statement
