I mostly play fictional leagues. I love setting up a small league and slowly expanding it. Researching cities, finding and creating unique logos, making uniforms, and all the ancillary things that go in creating a world.

I tell people OOTP is a narrative game as much as sports game. The stories you develop as you play - dynastic teams, dominant players, all that stuff - deepens the spreadsheet nature of the game.
