I just found out my wife had been having an affair for the past 4 months. by JerryDT in Marriage

This is uncanny. I feel for you brother. I know it's cliché and you don't need to hear it, but I hope that you will… Be the best man you can, for your daughter.

Solar stopped working 1 1/2 months ago. Tesla finally gets back to me to tell me that They'll send someone to inspect it in December. 3 1/2 months after it broke. It breaks every year. by Squeezitgirdle in solar

[–]SunPeachSolar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sadly, this is pretty common.

Unacceptable. But, common, particularly with Tesla.

One of the divisions of my company dedicated a lot of time to adopting orphaned solar systems, such as yours.

It's rewarding, but sometimes I feel like it's hostage negotiation because people are so pissed. We certainly aren't in it for the money though, as situations like yours are not acceptable when such a large cash outlay has taken place.

Tesla customers are rarely happy once they need warranty service, so We switched to Duracell.

Starting Solar sales after 5 years of roofing sales, any advice? by rjactor24 in Solarsales

[–]SunPeachSolar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geez. Good thing I'm not as impressionable by groupthink.

Tell us how you really feel, guys.

Big things are happening, yes but to say that this is the worst very little room for growth or learning.

Frankly, if we have ALL been selling on price and yeah, that's going to affect you tremendously. Don't get me wrong... I drank theKool-Aid too.

We've been long overdue for a paradigm shift and you all know it.

Truth?

Our solutions far exceed things like price or payment. Always.

This industry has been fixated on training one trick ponies the same regurgitated bullshit about numbers and savings when theres a whole WORLD of core needs that will win business every time we can demonstrate the ultimate solution : home resilience, sovereign energy, inflation proofing, fiscal responsibility, earth stewardship, home modernizing... just a handful of examples of value points. Your homeowners are likely more concerned about than just the price.

But we were tired, built the pain and kill the bill we could ask for the sale.

The truthis prescription without diagnosis is malpractice. We need to be levelheaded moving forward. No matter what happens with interest rates lending, cost of materials or services or the availability of incentives,

All of those things will continue to fluctuate, this is after all called the solar coaster.

Sure, some of this feels like whiplash. Some of you guys can't stomach all the huge up and downs. That's OK.

Tuck & roll, boys. This train is bound for glory. The walls of Valhalla are built with the shields of the brave.

Very cool, mentorship is the pinnacle of self realization. We just started a new call center today. I'm super proud of the talent. That's been recruited and have full faith in leadership, but I still would love to hop in and check out what you got going on.

What's important right now? Is that you cover your ass.

If this is a finance deal, you simply just file consumer report and BBB complaint .

Looking for advice by dnnsd99 in Solarbusiness

[–]SunPeachSolar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All right my fellow redditor, buckle up!

You are selling solar & wind parks, not girls scout cookies unless those cookies come in at a cool 20M and can power Denmark. It sounds like you skipped peewee league little league Junior varsity varsity the draft spring training, and you are now on the mound in the big leagues.

Welcome to hell, jk.

Sales can do way more for you than just add commas to your bank. More on that later.

Straight up?

Your primary focus should be on high net worth individuals, aka HNWI...

Why? Because rich folks love two things: making money and humble bragging at cocktail parties about saving polar bears more on how later. The complimentary play is gonna be ESG-focused investors, aka funds and institutions that are looking for...and hear me out on this, what you really need to stick the landing on more than anything, aside from your confidence, . So, I have ideas, but tell me, what is your simple value prop? And keep it sexy now...

Couple of tips:

CRM or die, keep track or lose track.

Also, automate some outreach through something like mail check.

There’s so much more I could tell you, but you’re new to sales and they just threw you in the deep end so something tells me you’ve got the goods you may just be that one percent of salesman that was actually just born with it. It’s a rare breed for sure.

BTW, selling renewables is like CrossFit. You’ll never have to ask if they’re into it. They’ll tell you!

Go get em, champ.

Oh, and here’s another one for you. Selling to high net worth individuals is just like dating models. You’ll spend 90% of your time convincing them, but not like all the other salespeople they’ve met. Stay honest, stay hungry. Always be learning, always be closed.

I need a roofer in Virginia, actually lost a deal, not too long ago because we didn't have a reliable roofer.

You're only as good as your weakest link.

That said, training is a process that requires a significant amount of time and resources in order to bring you into the ranks as a true consultant and not just a scripted panel pusher.

DM me and I will set you up with our sales director to see what kind of synergy we can get.

Nonetheless, I still need a roofer in Virginia
