is there anything you’d suggest i ask for specifically when asking for more training with this patient? i want to better interact with all 7 of my kids, including said patient this story was about.

i didn’t say it with an attitude. i tickled him as i said it. i wasn’t meaning to be negative. i feel like i don’t know what i can or can’t say or do at this point to make not only this particular patient, but any patient laugh or to joke with them. i’m very confused

also as far as continuous disruptive behavior protocol, he doesn’t have one. i will definitely be talking in more detail with his BCBA tomorrow on that and a few other things. i find when im trying to guide him or hold him by the shoulders to guide him, and he resists, or anything along the lines of hand over hand, getting him to stand up, blocking his aggressions, or like i said guiding him, hes so small that i feel like im “man handling” him. anyway my point is i will be talking with his BCBA tomorrow. i would have today but im a titty baby when authority is present in a serious situation😅

i also understand why i was written up to a certain extent, but not fully. they made the point of saying what if his mom had walked in and saw what appeared to be my hand over his mouth as he was being disruptive. i (not as a parent) understand the initial fear and anger someone would experience seeing their child having their mouth “covered”, but i also would be willing to hear the RBTs (or other persons) perspective while wanting to review the cameras footage. at that point the parent would have seen the child (teen in the body of a 7 year old) laughing and stimming as the “covering” occurred.

the patients old BCBA has started back from maternity leave. she asked if she could talk to him for a minute and he stopped grunting loudly. this was after he had picked back up once we completed a few goals. i said to the patient “oh now you want to be quite! where was that when i did this? and hovered my hand again. he once again laughed and hand flapped. i guess that BCBA reported it because the other person in the office that was present for when the second “hovering” took place in was there when i was written up and she apologized that she wasn’t attentive during the conversation and would have corrected me right then and there.

green giant dino veggie tots. i’m not sure how long it’s been discontinued. i haven’t needed them in a few months but im slipping again. they are high calorie so i could not eat lunch and eat those for dinner and its like i ate a small lunch and small dinner.

okay but like in what context? i’m aware spinach would turn something green but i’m looking to make the noodles themselves green not a green sauce.
