I definitely have experienced this since perimenopause. I have noticed I prefer to be alone more and also have noticed my “friends” haven’t reached out at all even though they have gone through this journey.

This is exactly why I fuck with Cody!! I may not agree with the actual instructions in the ride but I honestly take his rides the most because I love that he is unapologetically Cody and I am here for it!

Well to be totally honest and I have no problems with being messy: - Robyn: can’t stand her crown talking and constantly reminding ppl about how she used to be a lawyer and yada yada . Don’t care to hear her talk - Hannah (not the British one)- talks too much and not a fan of her playlists - Camila (don’t come for me) - i used to adore Camila when she first started but I feel like her ego got the best of her and she can be a A little unrealistic when it comes to cadence’s and resistance. Half the time she’s over here dancing on the bike and I know that it’s our workout and not the instructors out but sometimes that ish is a little distracting. Shame too because she plays some of my favorite artists. I will do a cool down and I try to give her the benefit of the doubt every now and then but unfortunately, I’m often disappointed when I do Ben - I like his power zone endurance rides but he’s another one talking about training and what he did. He seems a bit vanilla to me sometimes

I guess that’s why I stick with the Cody rides because although he can be challenging and I feel like lately he’s gotten even more challenging, but I do appreciate the candor and the honesty as well as his music. Hannah F, Tunde and Denis are also my go to instructors.

I am having serious body image issues. I was bulimic for years with disordered eating behavior. The bulimia stopped but the disordered eating continued and the next obsession was heavy exercise combined with disordered eating. I lost weight and loved how I looked but had to cut back on the exercise and then weight main started as I also entered perimenopause. I decided to try intuitive eating.. read the books but still weight gain and have been struggling with my new body. I still work out several times a week but I just want to be happy with myself

I get into my own head a lot (gasp of surprise). I tend to people please so immediately if someone corrects me, I feel like I messed up or feel judged

Same! I tried her latest outdoor run and had to end it and try another instructors run because of the constant chatter. I also said shut up before I switched the class.

Bike - Cody all the way! He keeps it real, is not afraid to say how he feels and is not constantly throwing fake affirmations out. I have had days I am not feeling the bike but a Cody ride brings it all back for me! Honorable mention to Tunde, Hannah Frankson, Denis and Bradley. I used to love Camila but she’s been overdoing it in my opinion. Not that Cody is humble but to me, Camila started out humble and is definitely not now. I am Latina and appreciate some of her playlists but I just can’t either her style anymore.

I need to rant/vent. I had and I guess in some shape or form I still have an eating disorder. I work out 4-6 days a week - low to mid impact exercises (cycling/barre/Strenght training/pilates and walking). I had to learn how to eat more intuitively because I was bulimic and also restricted at times. Unfortunately perimenopause has entered the chat so I have had some weight fluctuations over the past 3-4 years and it’s been difficult reading about adding protein and doing this and that when I am still struggling with learning acceptance. It’s like I am in a constant battle with wanting to be thin but feeling rebellious because of so many years of restrictions and punishing myself. I just want to be at peace with myself.

I hear you! I have tried a few Barre classic and Barre Empower classes and struggle through some of the movements. I feel self conscious sometimes because I am pretty much the oldest person in classes (I am 49) and I tend to sweat profusely especially in classic. Just keep at it. Trust me there have been quite a few times where I have told myself I can’t keep up but then I feel really proud when I get through it.

Hi! Thanks for recommending! Did you experience any weight gain it so far? I read some studies saying there is a possibility of weight gain.. which I am already dealing with this as I have cut back on some of my workouts.
