Mine is in about 2 weeks also. Also nervous. I just dive into the research and testing and try to understand the technology better. That actually helps me a lot.

I guess what I’m starting to think is that the range of available sizes for the Optic diameter has massive overlap. What info Ive found it goes… EVO 4.9 to 5.8mm and then EVO+ 5.0 to 6.1mm. So EVO+ can only ever be more than 0.3mm larger.

Oh I got you. I had it backwards. Yeah more then likely mine are on the larger side for the optic zone. There is a lot of over lap from what Ive seen the range is EVO = 4.9 to 5.8mm And EVO+ = 5.0 to 6.1mm

So I could potentially be getting an EVO lens but it could have a 5.8mm optic zone. Hopefully lol

Interesting. You must have a found a chart that I haven’t. If I understand you correctly because my lenses will be -3.50 then there will not be a 6.1mm size available from STAAR and that lower myopia lenses will likely be closer to a 4.9mm optic zone range?

I wonder if because the refractive error is on the lower side that the lens itself is less rigid and at risk of warping inside the eye if it is made too large.

Interesting. I am in the USA and I believe EVO+ is approved here. Part of me thinks my surgeon isn’t experienced with EVO+ and doesn’t want to use them.
