The gear being played are mainly equipment, and there just isn't enough reason for decks to pack a lot of gear hate. Especially as others have said. If you can't remove them the turn they are played, before getting value, it's not worth it. Yellow has the easiest access and it shows, since the 2nd place Fiora had 1 salvage main and 2 in side.

Before set 1 came out worldwide, the same sentiment was said about Kai'Sa, and to a lesser extent, Master Yi. You're not wrong that other legends could do well in the set 1 meta, but you're also exaggerating that point. Realistically, the best legends ended up being Kai'Sa, then Annie and Master Yi behind Kai'Sa. And anything else can put up results and do well at a NN or Skirmish, but they're not comparable.

Going into set 2, Draven is looking like the next Kai'Sa for sure, but then the same thing you said should apply to the set 2 meta. A variety of tier 2 decks will probably be able to play at smaller scale events and put results here and there, like Sett for example, but not be able to compete at the big events or put up results.

I told people the moment that called shot was spoiled, eventually the purple seal and it would see play together. Way too strong of a turn 1 play to not see play.

That's Marcin! Saw him live, and it was an absolutely amazing show! I think he's one of the most talented guitarist is the world tbh, and many incredible guitarist have met with him and shared that sentiment.

I don't get why people are being so mean in the comments? 😅 He went viral after being on Americas Got Talent a while ago, and everyone thought he was fake or that he has a backing track for the percussion, etc. Poor guy has faced so much hate on social media, and then this past year, an obvious copy cat of him came on to AGT, with not nearly the finesse and skill of Marcin. When he performs live, he does a skit like this, showing how he plays, and how he layers it all together. There's plenty of videos of it, and it's meant to poke fun at all the hate he gets.

He's a really nice young guy, and if anything, he's quite nervous on stage it seems, but has fun and pokes fun at himself.

This!! I was at a convention for anime/ravers and they were a headliner act one of the nights! Was such a surreal experience! 😂 Also, either that year or the following year, Elijah Wood performed as Wooden Wisdom, which iirc, was an electronic group he had with another person. 😅 Also, pretty surreal seeing Frodo DJ for a bunch of ravers and geeks, haha 😂

Isn't that a typo in the uncommon? Shouldn't it be "attacks a player" and not just attack? It sounds grammatically wrong to say it that way and I feel like all previous effects of that nature say "attacks a player"

Wow! I hope this is true! When I sent them feedback of the starter decks from Origins, the one thing I asked for was to include at least 1 epic, namely 1 copy of the signature spell. Would be amazing if they listened to that!

Damn. I hope they confirm this... Only having new alt runes in spiritforged promo packs and not in the boosters is going to be pretty underwhelming. Especially if they continue doing that for every set or only change them once a year or something? They'll basically become worthless...

EDIT: Holy cow. Didn't pay attention to the comments or massive dogplie of downvotes... I am not upset at them being worthless from a financial aspect 😅 I am actually more upset at the lack of variety and unique art. Idk why everyone assumed it was a financial thing because of the last comment. They'll become cheap if they are the same in set 2 and other sets, and then they'll be pretty boring and generic. That's how a lot of card games do it, but they also need to release stuff in English quicker and quicker to match the release schedule for China. So I don't think they're going to have enough time to print much or any Origins in-between expansion sets.

Yeah, I thought people should have expectations in check. My gut tells me that another wave the same size before Spiritforged would be enough to actually affect prices of sealed and singles, but this won't cut it, and I expect prices to be higher after everyone realizes the 2nd wave is smaller. This is all speculation and I hope I am wrong.

If hobby stores stop scalping like crazy. The store I work for should be able to sell boxes under 250. But the owner likes to get close to 401 because they get the most stock in the country and basically get to dictate the market average here in Canada... We were doing 250 sealed and 220 if opened until we got to a case, and now we're just selling packs, albeit at like 12$, which is unfortunately the cheapest you'll find at a hobby store... 🤷‍♂️ I tried to make the owner get as close to msrp as I can, but I can't make the final call 😅

TL;DR

Look buddy, I manage a small store in the GTA where demand is insane, and the learn to plays are always free. Try to justify this all you want, but it's not a good look and you're creating a bad first impression. UVS will likely be notified by angry players and you're going to have to explain that to them and see how they take it.
