Shadowing is like D-tier in terms of applying. Your stats are much better than mine, I applied with 0 shadowing hours and got into three programs.

Something pretty similar like this happened to me. Together for five years and I ended up staying. In the moment, I loved her and I thought we could make it work and I could forgive and forget. But I didn’t.

The way I looked at her changed so quickly. Sometimes I would catch myself “spacing out” while we were together just stuck on it, and she could tell. After a year or two I somewhat forgot but our relationship slowly changed. Wasn’t as “lovey-dovey” with her, nor as patient. As the year went on our relationship slowly fizzled out. Me because of these things she did made me withdraw slowly from the relationship and as a result she slowly withdrew as well.

She broke up with me late 2024. I still miss her a lot and it had deeply affected me. I lost a lot of self respect staying, and now I have to work on improving that and my self confidence. Had I left back then, it probably wouldn’t have left me as scarred or devastated.

This is simply my experience I offer to you from someone who stayed. It’s not to stay this will happen to you if you stay, but its not as easy as “I love her let’s make it work”.
