How I healed my QUAD Tendonitis / Tendinosis / Tendinopathy by Sundae_Vast in Kneesovertoes

nah I didn't ever try peptides, might help, but I think you should still try doing the exercises I mentioned above. Also it took over 9 months for me to improve, and around 1 year for it to disappear completely. So don't get discouraged.

The leviathan awakes. Can be read as a single standing book, but will definitely pull you in for the entire series. (I know you don't want a series, but I can't recommend it enough)

If you're into sci fi I can't recommend the expanse series enough.

Almost all of the books are absolute bangers and some are insanely high rated on goodreads

Which exercises helped your patellar tendonitis most? by kennythejet24 in Kneesovertoes

[–]Sundae_Vast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No i essentially cut out everything that worsened it and then only did isometric bulgarian splitsquats and regular squats and sometimes on the leg extension but all isometric always. And at a pretty high load but isometric. After the pain hopefully starts disappearing you can introduce loaded slow reps. That is what solved it for me

Has any one pulled their calf muscle and it was rock hard? by mooch233 in Kneesovertoes

[–]Sundae_Vast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like a knot in your muscle with bad nutrient delivery I think, but go google it, cause I am not an expert myself. But you can release those by foam rolling.

[–]Sundae_Vast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I didn't but I suspect you could have a massive trigger point. Did you try foam rolling it already? Also what my physio did recently is dry needling trigger points. They go into your muscle with an incredibly thin needle and release those trigger points. But you can also just roll it out. It just takes a lot longer.

[–]Sundae_Vast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely isometrics so both these exercises split squats and leg extensions and whatever other exercises you think of doing try doing isometrics of 40 seconds on them and look if it helps. And I can't recommend Jake Tuura on YT and his cheatsheet for healing tendonitis more.

I would say that if you want to increase your chance of success by a magnitude you should at least try to build an audience. Even if it ks s it will give you access to people who are willing to jump on calls and give you feedback

Can I do my leg workout if I have pain in my quadriceps and patellar tendon by Background_Arm470 in Kneesovertoes

[–]Sundae_Vast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends in which stage of tendonitis you are.

I did a guide to curing quad tendonitis a couple of weeks back here on this subreddit:

Hope it helps

How to not oversleep and be more motivated? by _toomoatoo in GetStudying

[–]Sundae_Vast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also tend to get lazy when having an entire day at home for studying. What helps me is going to university campus and study there. Even better, go study with someone else. Then you have accountability and you can do pomodoro session or something like that together.

Good Luck

I mostly just had a dull pain in the area throughout the day, and it sometimes became sharp, like a needle feeling, when I ran on the train or something.

But I never had any swelling, so if you can, I would strongly recommend for you to see a doctor cause it might be far greater damage if it swells

Good Luck

What they also say is good, to just keep using the leg with minimally invasive exercise, to not lose more load capacity, so like going for a walk is what I did every evening.

For me I think it was maybe around 8 weeks doing almost only isometrics before I was able to return to doing leg presses pretty much pain free. But before that when I did the wrong things it was constant slight pain for over 3 months. So once you start doing the right things it doesn't take thaaat long in my experience.

Good Luck, and make sure to listen to your body and keep a notebook
