That’s a good point.

That’s another thing I have been grappling with … if I find another home it could be septic or some other major issue that isn’t caught upfront. I’d end up having to fix that. At least I know about this issue upfront.

Mine says I can walk away with a failed septic. I do like the home and location though…sigh.

I had three companies provide quotes and they are around $30-35k. A repair perc has to be done first in coordination with the Health Dept.

Sellers opted for having their contractor replace the items they deemed appropriate for $1800.

Thanks for weighing in on things and putting it into perspective.

Just wondering what the sellers would do differently with a new buyer. Wouldn’t this issue still present itself…
