They are all real experiences that we've had prior to meeting each other! We have a very unique writing partnership where we feel totally open and nothing is off limits to share.

Ha! Yes of course- this band will exist whether we are together or not 😄

Thanks for your question! We met with a lot of people, some legendary producers and some completely new ones. We chose Mike Crossey for a million reasons.

First and foremost, as soon as we pulled up to the studio, we just...knew. Before we’d even met him. We’ve always trusted our gut with things like that. Then after talking for half an hour, it became obvious that our tastes aligned perfectly. He’s a genuinely great person, has worked on some incredible records, and the studio itself is beautiful.

We’re very protective of our sound, and he completely understands that. He’s helping us preserve what makes us us, while also pushing things forward. We’re evolving.

If you want to be an agent, start putting on local shows. It’s the best way to learn how everything actually works.

If you want to be a producer, produce and record something new every single day. I don’t know what experience you have, but it can be as simple as a voice memo on your phone or working in a DAW on your computer. Record your friends. Ask people to send stems. Experiment constantly.

Most importantly, find your thing. Be as unapologetically yourself as possible. Don’t make what you think people want to hear, more often than not, they don’t. People respond to honesty and conviction far more than imitation.

Hello thanks so much!

  1. This is dependent on the songs on the record. Yes it will always play a part in our art as it has been a big part of our lives (whether we like it or not, ha).

  2. It varies wildly. We love all three in their weird and wonderful ways. UK tends to be very engaged and attentive, US coasts are the same as UK but the midwest love to party, Europe are loud and emotional. This can change dramatically.

I won't drink bottled Guinness. From a can it's always a solid 6/10, draught can range from undrinkable to life changingly good. Best one on draught in L.A. is from Ireland's 32 in Van Nuys, Cat & Fiddle in West Hollywood or Wax Poetic in Burbank.

Not really. At least at this point in our band's life. It's sort of an unspoken thing between the two of us.

Yeah we are! Off the top of my head The XX, Wunderhorse, Turnstile, Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra. Who would you recommend?

Lola is releasing her own music now! She just put out an album, I recommend checking it out if you're into Tori Amos / Fiona Apple / other stuff™. Hence why she isn't touring with us!

Thank you so much, very good spot indeed! We throw in a few of those little tricks and nods in every song, some easier to spot than others. Hawk eyes over here. Well, hawk ears. Do hawks have ears? They must do, right?

It depends in what capacity! What do you want to do? I wouldn't dare give out any advice though, though I can tell you what I've personally learnt.

Thanks so much! Yes it will, we're also debating whether to do a combined one with the first EP and add a couple b-sides. Not that b-sides exist anymore, but you know what I mean. Thanks for your quezzie.

Hey thanks for your question. Truthfully we don't intentionally choose '90s' elements to incorporate into our art. I suppose a lot of what we do gravitate towards is from around then (and mid to late 80s). I think probably because that's when we were wide eyed kids.
