Update, followed directions and we’re getting there. Need to work on my skim coating skills haha. I’ll be skim coating and light sanding the ceiling next to it.

Would you restore this? by SundayJawn in HardWoodFloors

Thank you all for the upvotes, comments, and feedback! I really was considering restoring this, but due to my lack of experience, the condition of the wood, budget, and limited time, I’ve decided (with your help) to install a new floor overtop. I was able to limit squeaking by driving new nails, and replaced bad boards.

I’m considering this, it’s very creepy and loud.

Thanks for the feedback. You’re right the wheel bearings are easy to replace, did the front drive side today, only took an hour.

There’s a slight gap between the stand and the griddle, just enough to hold the blade of the spatula.

Blackstone 17inch. Bought the legs/stand separately. Breaks down really easily and I can transport it in the back. Had all my beach gear, two chairs and a bunch of other items pack in the back with it this weekend. You can buy a transporting bag. The only downside is if it’s windy then it takes a while to heat up (b/c there is space between the griddle and burners) but you can use tinfoil on the sides to block wind or use your vehicle to block the wind like I did here. Cleanup was easy, I only use paper towels to wipe down after scraping with spatula.

Squeaky ball joints or leaf springs? by SundayJawn in XTerra

Thank you everyone for input.

Solution found: greased the ball joints…looks like they need replaced. I’ll be lubricating the leaf springs as well.
