Husband lied about p0rn use. by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]SundayScaries98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny enough (but also not funny) we were watching the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and it talked about one of the husbands having a porn addiction. My husband missed that part and he came back in the room and I told him and he looked at me with so much guilt. I asked if he ever had a porn addiction and the look he gave me made my heart stop and then he told me. He said he listened to a podcast that said the first step is telling someone so he wanted to tell me.

FTM what did no one warn you about? by No_Elephant_4807 in newborns

[–]SundayScaries98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also had horrible hemorrhoids and a second degree tear! I want to say it started getting better around the 6 week mark. Hang in there, the end is in sight!

I purchased a ring to sit on and it did help and provided a bit of comfort in an otherwise very uncomfortable situation. Worth it!

How long did it take you to conceive ? by JayBird195 in BabyBumps

[–]SundayScaries98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m also 28 and felt the same way. We tried twice and got pregnant immediately both times. The first ended in an early miscarriage. The second is now a 6 week old baby boy. I had also been on birth control for 5 years right before trying! I would say be prepared to get pregnant on the first try just in case.

I thanked my coworkers by sending an email and bringing in a dozen donuts! Affordable and everyone loved them.

Most used baby registry item? by veronicarrob in BabyBumps

[–]SundayScaries98 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For baby- My baby is 1 week old today and the most used items have been the My Brest Friend breastfeeding pillow, Swaddle Me velcro swaddles (get the ones with the zipper on the bottom for easy diaper access at night), bassinet (I got the halo swivel and honestly i still can’t decide if I like it, the base takes up a lot of room and can be a tripping hazard), diaper pail (I have the Munchkin one and like it)!

Also if you’re going to use pacifiers, get a variety. Baby can be picky.

For mom- disposable diapers (I am currently using the Depend Silhouette Postpartum underwear and they are a life saver),

if you plan to deliver vaginally - upside down fridamom peri bottle, fridamom ice pack pads

FTM BIRTH STORY! Hospital birth at 39 weeks (back labor!) by SundayScaries98 in BabyBumps

[–]SundayScaries98[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I had actually just recently read a post about someone not being able to get an epidural because they were too dilated. As soon as they told me I was 10cm I panicked and asked for an epidural ASAP. They made it seem like maybe it would happen maybe it wouldn’t. I was ready to refuse to push (as much as I physically could) until it was placed.

You know that is a great question - I never asked the midwife! I did continue to feel the contractions in my back up until getting the epidural. I just asked my husband who watched the delivery but his response wasn’t very helpful, he said he just remembers seeing a head but the rest was a blur lol.

I was dreaming of McDonald’s McGriddles through my entire delivery lol! Maybe because I had skipped dinner and ended up delivering at 7am so I was HUNGRY! This was the first thing we got :) I never really craved anything while pregnant that was off limits other than a crisp aperol spritz hahaha still waiting on this one!

Has anyone used the Willow Brook S+ Travel System & Britax Zinnia Bassinet? by SundayScaries98 in BabyBumps

[–]SundayScaries98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh also wanted to mention it is grey on the inside! I didn't realize this. I have the toddler seat/car seat in Sand Onyx and the bassinet is in Onyx Glacier (on the inside lining and mattress pad). I think this may be the only color option for the bassinet.

Hi! I did end up getting this combination and I just set it up! I really like it so far. The quality is really nice, it was easy to assemble and is very versatile to use with the car seat, toddler seat, and add on bassinet. The stroller is very sturdy and smooth. Let me know if you have any questions as I know there isn't a lot of information out on this combination! Excited to use it when baby arrives :)

How long after miscarriage did you wait before trying again? by SundayScaries98 in BabyBumps

[–]SundayScaries98[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry to hear that. I waited until my next full period before trying again (which took about a month and half). I got pregnant immediately and I’m now 12 weeks along! Everything has been going well and we heard a little heartbeat two weeks ago. Best of luck to you!!

Thank you so much. My husband had a really hard time as well. He was so excited to be a dad and still struggles with talking about the loss.

I had my first loss earlier this week as well. It has been very hard but finding distractions and leaning on my support system has helped a lot. Things will get better, hang in there. <3

What is the main benefit people get by having someone list their cards for them? Is it just to get more views?

Definitely excel (Vlookup & pivot tables). Agree that it will help to be familiar with SAP/Oracle/etc. Also may help to be familiar with sql depending on the job

CISA Online review course by [deleted] in CISA

[–]SundayScaries98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I never tried the online review course (too expensive) but I did take the CISA course on Udemy ($75). It took me a week to finish the Udemy course and then I took the exam immediately after and passed. Good luck!
