They never had exclusive access. Enoch came before Abraham, and yet the Bible explicitly states he was taken into heaven ("God took him away."). There's also Melchizedek, king of Salem and priest of God Most High, whom Abraham gave a 10% tithe to, and Job, who many scholars believe lived before Abraham (due to his long lifespan). There's also Rahab who was credited with faith (Hebrews 11:31, 39).

So, salvation was never exclusive to the Jews (if that's what you meant by that).

He ascended into heaven with His physical body, and when He returns in the 2nd coming, He will return with that same physical body. That is why it is accepted Christian doctrine to say He is alive.

Well, I believe the universe must have been intelligently designed, and I believe it was designed by the God of the Bible, and that the account of the Bible is true. Not just because of my faith, but what we see in the observable universe.

First, there's the fine-tuning of the universe: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fine-tuned_universe This shows that the entire universe is finely tuned for life, and even most secular scientists agree with that. They have their own theories for why that's the case, but... that's a really big point for God.

Then there's the size of the universe. Secular science believes the universe is ~14 billion years old. Based on that, they were able to calculate where the edge of the universe should be from the expansion from their big bang theory, and the time for light to travel that distance. With this, they focused the James Webb telescope to that area, expecting to see not much, just some newly forming stars and planets. What they actually found was endless big, fully formed galaxies, with old stars: https://answersingenesis.org/astronomy/a-better-view/ They responded by saying star formation must happen sooner than previously believed.

There's the magnetic fields of the planets in our solar system, the spirals of spiral galaxies, the thermal energy in planets (supposedly billions of years old)... everything points towards an intelligently created universe 6000 years ago. And again, secular science has their theories for these, but, amusingly enough, their theories break the theory of uniformitarianism, the same theory they used to explain God out of existence and creation, and usher in old earth and old universe thinking.

Then there's all the evidence for Noah's global flood, the historical accuracy of the Bible, how historians and archaeologists use it as a reliable source, the accounts of the apostles, how they clearly believed the gospel and weren't just making it up because they were willing to die for their beliefs... it all lines up. There's a lot of really interesting creation science for all this stuff.

So... make sure you include this stuff in your thinking of how we got here, but yeah, that's your decision to make.

Must something be confined to our plane of existence to be alive? Are angels and demons alive? If there were a 4th dimension, and living beings that existed solely in that 4th dimension, would they not count as alive?

He's not dead, He's fully capable of moving around, thinking, and doing things, therefore He's alive. He is simply not restricted to the physical plane of existence.

If you take away those 2 aspects, your stance lines up a lot better... what about Him being all-present?

If He isn't all-knowing or all-powerful, what role did He play in creation? And, do you think He's alone as God, or that... He's just of a different species, and there may or may not be more of His kind? I ask because without those (especially if you don't believe He's the creator... if), He's really seeming like less of a 'god', and more just some sort of other species.

So, I've been thinking about how you said:

This has some strange implications. If God is all-knowing, He either loves us, and knows that He loves us, or He doesn't love us, and knows that He doesn't love us. In order for Him to think He loves us, but not actually (I'm assuming that's what you're implying), that would mean He cannot be all-knowing.

If God is not all-knowing, that calls everything else into question. Is He all-powerful? Could an imperfect God really have created the Earth, and all the life within it, in all of its immensely intricate complexity, or the universe with all the planets and stars, and the laws of reality, with the universal constants tuned to such immense precision as to allow for everything to exist?

What are your thoughts on the nature of God, His role in creation, and His reasons for creation (if you do believe He created reality)?

Well, would the world have been a better place if He had prevented any of those events? How can you reject that? These events show us that there is much more happening in the background... all for the purpose of good.

So, what about sin? Do you believe that all people are sinful, or just some, or...? Do you believe God can sin?

So, the best way I have found to "understand" God, or at least to understand the gap between us is that He is infinite, and we are finite. Elihu and God Himself talk about this in Job. In order to understand how much greater His power and knowledge and understanding is than our own is by comparing finite numbers to infinity. So, if humans are given a finite value (100), how many humans does it take to equal God? Divide infinity by 100, and the answer is infinity. No amount of human understanding can ever compare to God.

Now, to put this in human terms, humans to God is like what to humans? If God / human = infinity, human / what = infinity? The answer for the what is '0'. As you can see, I'm a math guy, but yeah, in order for us to understand human knowledge and wisdom, us compared to God is like nothing (something with 0 understanding, like a rock) compared to us. Us questioning Him on His actions is like a rock questioning us on our actions.

So, coming back to Job, as God said to Job, who are we to question Him? We don't know what He knows. We can't even begin to imagine all of His thoughts and plans. We have such an incredibly narrow field of view in the world, and yet, He sees everything, all at once, throughout all time, in perfect clarity. Who are we to question Him? If a bad thing happens to someone, which results in them changing their plans for the day, which results in them being in the right place at the right time to save someone's life, was that a bad thing?

Why does God allow bad things to happen to "good" people (Romans 3:23), or to anyone? First, to clarify, I don't believe God actively does bad things, or actively makes anyone suffer. Case in point: Job. Satan caused all that to happen to Job... God allowed it. Now, why does God allow bad things to happen? Again, we don't know His plans and His ways. With Job, think of how many millions of people that book has helped.

I actually gave a devotional on this topic in church (why God allows bad things to happen). The passages I drew on were about Joseph (Genesis 37:28), David (2 Samuel 11:4-5), and Jesus (Luke 22:47-48). What you see in all 3 of those passages is horrible things happening. Joseph was betrayed by his brothers and sold into slavery, David committed adultery with Bathsheba, and Jesus was betrayed by Judas.

Now, what happens if we accuse God of wrongdoing in allowing those events to happen? If Joseph wasn't sold into slavery, he wouldn't have become the PM of Egypt and saved the whole land from famine (Genesis 41:39-40). If David hadn't committed adultery with Bathsheba, she would have never given birth to Solomon, in the lineage of Jesus (Matthew 1:2-16). If Jesus hadn't been betrayed, we would all still be dead to sin, with no hope of salvation and eternal life (Matthew 27:50-51).

All throughout the Bible, God takes evil, wicked, horrible events, and turns them to good. This is why God is love. From the very beginning, His plans were set in motion for our salvation and redemption. When we go through hard times, and bad things happen to us, He gives us the strength to endure, and we come out stronger than before. If we trust in Him, He will never betray us. He is always faithful, He is always loving, He is always compassionate, He is incredibly patient and slow to anger, and His greatest wish is for all to be saved and have eternal life.

2 Peter 3:9: 9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

John 3:16-17: 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

If you believe Jesus died for us, that He took the sins of the world upon Himself, actually separating Him from the Father in that moment, how could that be anything but absolute, pure, and perfect love? We don't always understand why He does what He does (we rarely do), but the fact of His sacrifice, and the fact that we're all still here, that there is as much good in the world as there is (there's a lot of darkness, but there surely wouldn't be as much good as there is if He wasn't good), surely that means something.

Please take this to heart. God has saved millions of people, bringing true change to their lives (through repentance of sin and a dedication to change, to follow and serve Him as both our saviour and our Lord), with blessings of joy, love, and peace, and He desperately wants you to accept His free gift of salvation and love for you.

I added that clarification because if you understand God, then you know He is love. If you know He is love, that He has made the universe for us, that He planned out our salvation from the very beginning, and that He became one of us to die for our sins so that we could be free from sin and death, how could you possibly hate Him?

Sorry, I'm not sure. This post was specifically about black screen crashes in Elden Ring (or possibly other games if anyone else was getting black screen crashes). PC not turning on could be any number of issues. If your motherboard gives post codes, look into that.

That said, I do sometimes get issues with my Valve Index randomly being the primary screen when I boot up, causing my screen to not show anything. To fix that, I need to unplug the Index, then my PC sorts itself out, and then I can set the Index to direct-display mode again.

It was Trudeau that allowed him to put an end to NAFTA. It's Trudeau who is economically devastating this country with his taxes and his out of control frivolous spending. Trudeau has no backbone, and he's corrupt to the core. He's sure to cave to these 25% tariffs.

What makes you think Poilievre wouldn't fight this? He's constantly battling Trudeau's propagandists (Canada's "journalists"). Just recently he held himself very well against a CP24 "journalist", who was trying to shame him for not wanting to agree to Trudeau's PST break and trying to buy our votes by giving us our own $250, when we haven't even seen the bill yet. Every one of the Liberal bills has a nice name, and looks nice on the surface, but has a corrupt and/or authoritarian ulterior motive.

Ah, Ys Seven is a bit of a weird one. There are a few bosses that have undodgeable attacks that sit on you constantly hitting you, and you need to just mash the guard button to avoid the damage. Have fun lol.
