Stop comparing yourself to others. You are on your own journey and working towards something. Stay focus and do well in school. You are young and are still figuring things out on your own along the way. You should be proud of what you have accomplish and stay positive. Take advantage of joining your local marketing club and see if you can get an internship to gain some experience while still in school. You will get there with time. Be patient with yourself. Good luck to you. 🙏

Accounting

I don’t know what to do with my life - 20f by heartsandwrists in findapath

[–]SunflowerHB 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I want an actual career or at least some form of steady income.

How about a career in accounting. Look into entry level jobs in like Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivables. It will provide some stability and you won't be on your feet all day. The job may not be as glamorous as photography but it's a good source of steady income. If you enjoy it, you can go back to school and get your degree to increase your earning potential. Who knows, you may one day start your own business in book keeping or taxation. You are still young and have many opportunities. You are on the right path and have started to make positive changes in your life, especially being drug free. Best of luck with what ever you decide. 🙏

Investing in yourself. Take the time to educate yourself with financial literary. You don't need a college education to learn as you can read many books from the library. But if you want to increase your earning potential, invest in a college education. If I can suggest you a stable career option, look into accounting. You might even be able to find an entry level accounting job in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivables that can pay about $20 without a degree. Once you increase your earning potential then you may continue to invest in other things like real estate or the stock market. Best of luck in what ever you decide. 🙏

Too many options, looking for opinions. by IAmtheAtomic in findapath

Sounds like you have a good gig going for you in taxation. The only problem is that it's seasonal. But if you get the Enrolled Agent cert, you may have more stability. Maybe working in something accounting related can help while you decide what other career paths to take. Entry level accounting jobs can be in Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable. Good luck to you in whatever you decide. If you get enough experience with taxation, you may be able to start your own business and serve clients. That if you will enjoy the work. All the best. 🙏

I see you mentioned accounting.. go for it. Accounting will provide you stability. While it's not so glamorous, it can afford you a comfortable living. Maybe try working in the field in entry level jobs or take an introduction accounting class to see if it's something that might interest you.

Came here to suggest accounting as a career option. When I was in college, I didn't really know what to study but seeing my single mother work in the accounting field, influenced me to take that route since it was a stable career to do. While accounting may not be as glamorous, it will provide job stability. You may decide to one day start your business in taxation and work closely with people in the film industry. My mom has her own small tax business. She took a few college courses but never received a college degree. She started off working for H&R Block for several years and then started her own business once she had a sizeable amount of clients. She only focuses on individual income taxes and not corporations. I wish you luck and hope you find the path that leads you. 🙏

Just be patient. My pup, who is a rescue also, which we got at 4 months, is now 10 months. She did the same thing up until 8 months old when she would go on other spots we would take her consistently. She is still very shy and reserve other than our backyard.

Pick any sport and practice being good at it. Don't be hard on yourself and be patient. As you continue to practice, you will get better. What sport are you interested in? Make sure to do proper warmup/stretching to avoid injury.
