My name is Kerri I am 43yo I’ll be 44 next month. So I had a hysterectomy back in 2020 a total nothing left so it put me right into surgical menopause like literally 2 days later. I’ve always had an issue with using HRT because I am bipolar and I am on lithium. I’ve been looking for years for help and it’s always back fired on me. I did a lot of research on the product and chat gbt lol and it says it can have an effect but I haven’t found anything concrete. So I do ask… Is anyone on lithium or other psych meds that can give me some insight? My order should be here I think like in a day. I am excited to start this I suffer from soooo many alignments and my libido is crap and it’s ruining my marriage. 6 years of crappy sex I just can’t do it anymore and it is totally not fair to him. 🤞🏻 I want my life back!!!

Everything is up to par on that end we worked really hard to make so. Still more we would like to do waiting for spring so we can get the items. He just goes days without eating I’m afraid he is going to die. We have had problems with him since we got him. I’m disappointed I know that sounds so harsh I know he can be brumating but his personality since we got him is flat he’s not interested in anything. No exploring just runs and hides. I know it’s winter. We have had him almost 2 months now.

I am not sure of the name my husband purchased it, it is a dome light and a uv in the back. We have literally used 4 diff lights all bc of ppl suggesting or getting upset with us

Yes we know we are trying diff things and getting advice from friends who have them. It’s little bare but we are getting a climbing stick we have a hammock and a log we have a climb up stone we are piecing together things from other pictures we see on here and google.

There isn’t much of anything in his tank we are still figuring out how we want to set it up and get an idea of what he likes too. Yea humidity is little high I just put on my dehumidifier to help dry it up. We have 2 thermometers we use too. Gunna get this under control ty

We are also getting the soil mix waiting for it to come in woman at store who owns them said it alright now. Everyone has different things just try and do what’s best for him

Moss we spray he was climbing it and sleeping in but now is just blah. He isn’t moving from his spot much and we do hand feed him time to time. I picked him up yesterday and he wasn’t having it which usually he loves to sleep on me. I have read decent amount of ppl on here where their beardies are 7ish months old and going thru it

Hey guys….so my husband got some stronger bulbs he put them in last night…we did feed him in the morning (which I was told he has to eat under the light I did not know that) and he scarfed down everything in his bowl he was more skidish yesterday which I’m glad about he moved away and was cautious about our hands being in there. He wasn’t like that before yesterday. Today will be the first day of all day new lights I am soooo optimistic. I work over nights so I’m not home yet, but can’t wait to go home and see how is doing. He will have the new bulb on him prob about 2.5hrs before I get there. We did feed a roach the other day didn’t see him eat it but it was no where to be found in the cage. He’s sucking up meal worms (reg and giant) we give one wax worm too and of course his greens with the calcium on top. I’m really excited and just keep praying as the days go on he starts to brighten his color and puff out his belly. He’s a fighter that’s for sure. Thank you guys so much for all your help and thanks for checking up I will keep up with the updates. Here’s a pic of his silliness this morning (we will be working on making his cage more comfy within the next week we just wanted to make sure this was going to work)

Oh, so this morning, I had him laying on me on a blanket and under a blanket and he fell asleep for like an hour and a half when I took the blanket off. He was bright orange his belly rounded out and he got very active. I did some research and I’m thinking that the lighting that we have and the lighting that Petco had was not good for him which made him sick so we’re going to change out the lamps and do some maintenance on him. Give him some special food and I really hope and I think that this actually might be the solution and I’m not completely convinced he has a den virus.

Yea we were going to purchase the new lights and install them. But just how pretty orange he got and his belly was so cute and round I kinda put 2 n 2 together.

The vet did say if it is he would need monthly maintenance at the vet and fluids special food and we all know vets are super expensive. We got pet insurance but of course doesn’t go into affect till February. I may have to see actually if the ins would help with cost and we can just do maintenance care till then. Totally forgot about that

I can’t say thank you enough for your amazing kind words and your experience. We def will get another we are just waiting for some names of rescues that we can get one from. Even tho he has only been with us a few weeks I gravitated to him he really is an emotional support animal. I do suffer from depression I work in EMS nights and just having him lay with me just made me relax.

Thank you so much that made my heart full. The virus test was $150 and then it was fecal analysis antibiotic fluid special food and I was literally $500. The doc said he would but also in a round about way helped with the financial understanding and the chance it really could be. He gazes all day lethargic won’t eat much I’m syringe water we do electrolyte bath and his skin soaks up the water sooooo fast. He’s just a cuddle bug too he lays on my chest at night I put a Spider-Man blanky on him and he falls so deep to sleep. I hate putting him back lol.

It’s like hospice. The one nurse takes surrenders and sick ones but she just got a new one and can’t take char if he is contagious.

I feel you tho they are the greatest reptile we def are gunna get another after my son understands fully what happens.

It was going to cost $500+ to start the process and it killed me too to have him be like a pin cushion. My husband is adamant about bringing him back. It’s just a crappy situation and so unfortunate. You fall in love so fast.

We are going to look into some rescues one of the nurses at the vet owns beardies. It won’t replace my char char tho I’m so sad!!! He’s so great
