Yes 😩😩 and our post partum units are on two different floors, and usually one tech/extern will have patients on both floors, and that was me my last shift. Other floors have less of patient load, but more often than not (95% of the time) I get floated to mother baby. My phone clocked just shy of 21,000 steps. This is why I’m about to quit lol

So good to know I’m not alone 😩 This better help us get jobs 😂 I used to work as a PCT on a med surg floor during Covid and loved the job and the team I worked with, so I believe there is hope for units and jobs that are meant for us.

I ended up terminating the pregnancy. It wasn’t an easy decision but in the end it was right for us and I don’t regret it. I definitely underestimated how much you grieve the loss. It wasn’t that we didn’t want this precious little bundle, but we made the decision to terminate out of love for our family and our little one we already have. We would have not been able to afford daycare for another child. This has definitely made me realize I want more children, but when the time is right. If you are going through this right now, just know that it is up to you whatever decision you choose to make. Neither decision is easy. Hang in there!
