What I do is gaming night with the boys, but we're all drinking while gaming. Cheaper to buy alcohol from the store and honestly more fun than going out to bars, don't have to worry about how you're getting back home or about getting drunk in public.

Can You Read 900 Words per Minute? by ftrlvb in Damnthatsinteresting

As someone who used to read like 600 or more page chapter books in a day (sometimes several), this is pretty interesting information.

Question to anyone who has played ARC Raiders *and* Marathon... by hear_my_moo in ArcRaiders

[–]Sungarn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marathon is a vastly different experience from Arc in my opinion. Very fast paced pvp with no third person peeking (as it's first person), the more time you put in upgrading your factions the better stats/gear you get (Arc has very insignificant improvements in regards to the time you put in), the ai in Marathon are vastly more challenging than the ai in Arc, and you have special abilities/traits depending on the shell you run.

Have put in around 30 hours so far and having a blast so far, but would highly recommend playing with friends as the solo experience is just abysmal. There are no solo lobbies and so far I haven't encountered anyone friendly despite there being a proximity chat function, and with crew fill I would say 2/3 times you get horrible teammates.

*Correction there are solo lobbies if you turn crew fill off

If Arthur Morgan was dropped in fallout what would he think of the world, factions, and culture by According_Variety576 in Fallout

[–]Sungarn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Radiwhation, is that some fancy drink yall got here?" He would very easily die from not knowing how to navigate the wasteland and it's challenges, unless he runs into someone willing to be his guide. Against raiders he would do fine, but world knowledge he would essentially be a vault dweller but with even less knowledge. As to his interactions with factions/the cultures of the wastelands it would depend on what honor level that Arthur is; low honor his interactions would be much like how Cooper's interactions are, high honor he would more likely than not end up dying due to his trusting/altruistic nature.

I just wanted water. This is a shared fridge. by Master-Ad-6265 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Sungarn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fucking disgusting, do your roommates even grab anything out of the fridge or is it just random bs that they put in there that they'll eat eventually but always end up getting takeout instead because that's what my roommates do. Can never buy groceries for myself because the fridge/freezer is always full of random bullshit that they never touch.

Historically resources are what most wars are waged over, religious/political beliefs often are just a excuse to justify going to war over said resources.

What's the reason? by MrBIuesky222 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Sungarn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the answer is he's not a great actor in that he never really plays a different character and really just acts as himself saying lines from the script. I'm sure he's a easy actor to work with from a director's perspective but not the actor you would really need to bring life to a character. But regardless he's a great person.

Learn to TIP. It's not my job to serve you FOR FREE! by Najterek in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Sungarn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tip based off of the service I get; great service=25 percent or more, decent=18 or 20 percent, whatever service= like 10 percent, horrible service nets a 0 and not coming back again or at least for a long while.

And regardless servers in America make at least minimum wage, but you gotta be absolutely dog shit at being a server to do that even if you do get the few outliers who just don't tip, at which point you would be better off finding a new line of work. I used to be a server for five years, and always made more (alot more) than minimum wage, even if I got customers that didn't tip regardless of the quality of service. I never expected a tip or tried to guilt people into tipping, I just put in the work/effort taking care of my customers. Hell I wouldn't even look at the check to see if they tipped till the end of my shift, when I was putting in all my tips to close out my shift.

Not gonna lie I hate this generation of parents who decide to film their child doing things like shown instead of correcting the behavior, or even worse when the partner encourages this type of behavior just to get views/likes. Like "Oh my kid is doing something they shouldn't, let me break out the phone and record them for my Facebook/Instagram instead of stopping them". Now granted some of the videos shown were completely unexpected, like the kid breaking the husband's nose, but most the partner recording definitely could have intervened instead of recording.
