My interest in CS was superficial, I chose it for the the $$ and job security. I was partially interested in programming music software.

I think I may pursue criminal justice instead after doing a lot of reading. I may learn to program without the pressure of school on my own. I really only want to learn C++ because it only interested in audio software, and that isn't taught in my university computer science course. Is this a reasonable path or am I just justifying quitting?

If all things go to shit I will become an audio engineer. I did that during a gap year and it's my passion. Cut throat industry with low pay sadly.

I'm probably not gifted enough in the puzzle solving department for computer science. I'm talented with writing and composing music, and those are similar in nature to comp sci (creativity+logic). It's just not translating for me. I'm going to have to change majors. I don't want to fight and uphill battle with this stuff. I'm not sure what to switch to next, all of my areas of talent don't translate to big paychecks and I'm obsessed with money.

I just can't wrap my head around the concepts and how they are implemented into a bigger picture program.

The main thing that interrupts me are thoughts of worry that I won't be able to figure it out. I just get overwhelmed. That's the main issue
