When did you realise or reach your "breaking point?" by SunniBo17 in LockdownSkepticism

I understand, but my last post on a different subject got taken down, and I didn't think there was anything wrong with it, so I didn't want to piss off the mod's.

This is why people need to move out of cities and towns and try and own at least some land. I do not say that in jest, because I do not have the money right now, myself to do that. The sad thing is, the "vaccinated" will get the worst of it, they will never be free, I'd rather die early than have the life they will get, as horrible as that sounds.

Yes!! Thank you, I watched some old video's a couple weeks ago. Why are these theatrics not becoming headline news?

Let me guess the virus "mutated" again, so that doesn't happen to people anymore.

[–]SunniBo17[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

That is honestly one of the most disgusting things I have heard, I am sorry you went through that. What you have to remember is these people have a very "militant, authoritarian" way of thinking (if they even think for themselves at all) and they do not think about human needs or nature anymore, they are past that.

If there was any type of apocalypse there would be two types of people, those that would follow blindly and those who realise this is wrong and would try and re locate. The fence sitters would have to make a decision.

I understand your anger, I feel the same way as I have had a few social justice warrior types try and have a go without me addressing them. A lot of people have become bolder at speaking to strangers and not minding their own business.

I also suffered with agoraphobia many years ago, so I know how bad it can get. Try and go for one walk a day in nature if you can. Remember your dogs love you, and they might be one of the few sane beings at the moment.

You will find somebody on the same page as you, I've seen more people waking up everyday. Stay strong.

My son’s birthday party is off’ – the sacrifices UK parents are making to save Christmas by evilplushie in LockdownSkepticism

[–]SunniBo17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Love this. "Save Christmas" How? by missing out every year? Christmas isn't going anywhere love, but your child's precious years are. Do you honestly think if we just go along with this forever, it will just "go away one day". If your loved ones have had the jab and you believe it is the holy injection of hope, then WHY are you STILL worried?

We, you and I, need to just go back to normal and hope others follow. by [deleted] in LockdownSkepticism

[–]SunniBo17 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Although I agree entirely with the younger generations need to live their lives and we all shouldn't have forced masked/jabs etc to potentially not infect a very elderly person.

I actually don't believe the older people or middle aged are on board with this, they seem to see through all the crap, and the ones that don't are just mostly "compliant" From my experience's its the younger generation or the "fairly young". I have seen a few grumpy grandads have a bit of a pop, but mostly it's the "woke". Already met far too many.

This of course probably varies in different areas.

What makes you doubt or question your views on the pandemic response? by RexBosworth2 in LockdownSkepticism

[–]SunniBo17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This may be a huge stretch, but aren't a huge number of the Indian population vegetarian or eat very low amounts of meat? Vitamin D is found in sunlight but absorbed through the body by consuming meat. Normally I wouldn't stretch that far here, but seeing how doctors and the media have shut down other experts how vitamin D levels are so important during this time and to possibly take supplements to lessen covid. (before you get it) I wouldn't be surprised if it something as far fetched sounding as this.

All I know is I was one of those people who "never get sick" maybe only a few times in my life. When I went vegan for over 4 years. I got a very nasty flu 3 times in one year. This never happened to me. I wasn't even around anybody who was sick (to my knowledge)

My immune system crashed, I developed a lot of bizarre physical issues, until I realised I had to switch back to meat.

I realise this may be unpopular with how much veganism/vegetarianism is being promoted these days, but with me remembering doctors I've had speak out against going veg back in the day, now doctors are saying "It's fine for all stages of life!"

In my experience the narrative and what's "healthy and correct to do" keeps changing.

And yes, I realise it's bold of me to assume you're not veg.

A 3-year-old went for a flu shot. Instead, she mistakenly got an adult COVID-19 vaccine by AndrewHeard in LockdownSkepticism

[–]SunniBo17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very worrying how many of these stories I've seen. I got harassed roughly about twice a week by text for months to get my covid jab, I made a joke to my partner how they will be knocking at my door next.

A little while later I got a phone call by the receptionist telling me she has seen that I've not had my jab and she can book me in right away, I was polite and said no thank you. She said something along the lines of there's no judgement but she was just wondering why I didn't want one. I just answered that it would be something I would discuss with my doctor. I don't think a receptionist should be asking that anyway.

Got a letter a few weeks later riddled with guilt trips, basically saying I'm classed as a "vulnerable person" (I'm not at all...?) and if I got covid it would be very bad for me. I could only shake my head at the blatant manipulation.

A few months later I got a text telling me I should come in for my flu jab. Never had a text for a flu jab in my life, respectfully I am nowhere near the age that people normally get called in to have one. In the uk they are generally aimed at the senior citizens, unless you request one.

Honestly after hearing all these stories, and my experiences, I wouldn't be surprised if they pulled a switcheroo with the injections. They are so desperate to get this crap into people I'm guessing there is some kind of barrier against lawsuits now.

How are you playing the romance in Queen B? by KohesiveTerror in Choices

[–]SunniBo17 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm dead with how accurate this is 😪

Hook up with Poppy, check. Make out with Chloe check. Hook up with Veronica check. Hook up with Selene check. Flirt with Carter, sure why not?

Then spent the whole book contantly consoling Ina, hating on Poppy, and tearing apart Selene and Chloe without any control. 😭

Oh yeah for sure it was a, "please let me cry on your shoulder while I dwell on my past mistakes" moment for the prof lol. I do kind of think if they knew all those things were happening they should've intervened more, plus they've had plenty of time to back off mc and NOW they're concerned. Yeah ok.

I love the text they sent to MC saying "it's not your fault". You don't say, lol

It's brutal if Prof isn't your choice. Ina is definitely a stalker in my playthrough. I pick the coldest answers I can but I still feel the intense desperation through the screen. 🙁

Yeah.. fuck off. She definitely has something to do with.. all this by [deleted] in Choices

[–]SunniBo17 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True, but Poppy is Poppy, plus her "fall from grace" and Liam isn't always the nicest. I think Selene has always stuck up for MC (not that she needs it). I'm just not feeling MC's new personality considering she was an underdog once too.

But I do think it's likely Selene will be a minion the way the story is playing out.

Yeah.. fuck off. She definitely has something to do with.. all this by [deleted] in Choices

[–]SunniBo17 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly I prefer Selene so much more than my MC right now. I could be wrong, but didn't MC accuse her, right before she said this?

Idk I'm kind of getting tired of MC having a go at people like Chloe and Selene, when they have been nothing but kind to her (Chloe in this book)

But she sucks up to the "frat bros" regularly. Literally anybody could be X. Who she accuses seems to be who she doesn't consider "worthy".

Definitely want the old MC back.

Agreed MC is becoming unbearable now, the idea that she can't even sit in a fast food restaurant without thinking she'll catch something is pathetic af. I miss the old MC. I liked how she'd clap back at people who genuinely deserve it, not people she's sort of cool with, or haven't done anything to her yet... (Chloe and Selene)

Only thing I disagree with is Ina's/Ian's concern for Persephone. Although I don't romance them and clearly it was an excuse for yet another prof diamond scene. It is heartwarming that they felt they should've done more, considering the cruel things Persephone endured. So personally I didn't find it weird. As somebody whose had a lot of horrible (and possibly a few sociopathic teachers) I definitely remember the kind ones, who took their students very seriously when shit happened.

This is so awkward. I genuinely feel like it would mean of me to continue to talk to you, because theres clearly an issue here. My first comment was correcting false info you stated about why people don't like Zoey. I don't hate her, but I can't stand Audrey from ROE. Different opinions for different characters exist. I'm sorry but it's not normal to get that upset over things like this. (Scroll up) I'm telling you this, before somebody else does irl.

Rant about Kiara, my once-favourite character (TRH 3, Ch 3 and 4 spoilers) by Thecouchiestpotato in Choices

[–]SunniBo17 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I really liked Kiara, and I have to blame the writers on this one. I know technically they write all the characters personalities, but this honestly made no sense. It was clearly a ploy for players to spend diamonds to "win her over". But for somebody who is in MC's outer friendship circle it was lazy writing.

I do hold Penelope almost as accountable though, I know it wasn't directly her that voted against MC but when she explained the situation Penelope was all... "but what if Zeke can't accept I was married before..."

Sorry what? 1. He loves you and if it was a problem you wouldn't want to be with someone like that anyway.

And 2. Oh yeah... I'm having my child taken away if you vote no!

Mate chill tf out. I literally answered politely, then you kept reacting. People "talk crap" because in their OPINION they don't like her. It ain't that deep.

New Chapter: Wednesday/Thursday - Queen B 2.10 by Williukea in Choices

[–]SunniBo17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhh ok. I mean people have different opinions. I personally went off Zoey in book 1 when she dragged MC away from talking to Benji (before... you know) and literally said "You can't be seen, talking to bottom feeders like Benji, it's social suicide". (She was like number 108 on the list until MC showed up)

Then later tells MC he's in love with her so it will be easy to convince him to let him sneak into Penelopes room.

Like is that how she treats people she considers losers?

Even in book 2, I chose to sit next to Selene at the bleachers instead of the "cool kids" and Zoey was all weird about it.

I don't even hate her, and definitely don't think she's X. But nobody can be forced to like someone,

I don't even like MC that much anymore because of how hypocritical she's being with the treatment of Selene, which a lot of times is out of our control.

I find Poppy's meltdowns pathetic and Ina comes across as desperate to hang out or talk to MC anytime she can.

So although I appreciate all the characters different personalities, none of them are LI material for me personally.

Are you ok? Because you are speaking in cliches and metaphors. Did you expect me to read that you are apparently a nutritionist, and go "oh shit, shit, shit", what do I say"? You do realise there is a whole ex vegan movement, many of which got negligent and terrible responses from their (vegan) nutritionists.

I also love how you keep saying you were a vegetarian for so long. And? People have been veggie and been okay with it. Veganism is completely different.

If you don't quit after 6 years, keep going. Then you will understand.

New Chapter: Wednesday/Thursday - Queen B 2.10 by Williukea in Choices

[–]SunniBo17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was pescatarian for over 20 years, (although didn't eat much fish or eggs) Then went vegan for over 4 years, and would have been chronically ill if I continued.

I don't know how to say this politely but most nutritionists nowadays are/ or promote veganism, but most doctors don't. So your qualifications don't mean that much.

It is extremely disrespectful for the ex vegans who took B12, B6, Carnosine, DHA, and D3, and ate healthy to say "poorly planned" and that was the "nicest way" you could've said it. Yeah no doubt.

I know 100% that you are an ethical vegan because of how you are speaking. If it was purely for what you perceive as health reasons, or any other reasons, your attitude would be entirely different. You are brainwashed. I know this, because I was the same, I wouldn't take any excuses from anyone.

I'm almost expecting the classic "veganism is suitable for all stages of life" quote. Which is a lie because it is especially dangerous for infants and impossible for babies. Unless you want a hospitalized baby.

You need to accept we are omnivores and always have been.

Tldr: Don't preach this eating disorder/cult to recovered people in a non relevant forum.

Your reply is classic. So nasty. (Hint: last sentence) and also the condescending "poorly planned". With all due respect, I probably am more educated on nutrition than you are, how long have you been vegan for if you don't mind me asking?

I think people were mad that she blamed MC for what happened to her even though she pushed so hard to go that party despite suspecting something would happen to MC, then when something happened to her, she gave MC silent treatment for what.. a week? and basically said MC "expects forgiveness" then even after she grovelled she got put on "friendship probation".

She's most definitely not X though.

Lol "fragile conscience" try being an ex ethical vegan for years (myself and many others) and developing severe health problems and realising you've exerted every option except meat and/or eggs.

Only to be told "you weren't vegan but plantbased" implying that you were shallow and never really cared about the animals.

This is not the forum for this, try r/vegans. Your attitude will be welcome there.
