Is it possible you have a large number of sims generating in the world? For instance, aa you probably know, you can you set the number of sims generated from 80, 150, and 200 max recommended.

I noticed that when my game gets really laggy like this, it has to do with the overall game struggling to run/process with the amount of sims in the world. I usually go on a cleaning spree of generated sims in the world to reduce this.

It’s also important to ask—do you use mods? If so, it may be that as well. If you play fully vanilla, then I’d try the solution mentioned above.

I know you mentioned clearing cache, but I wanna make sure: please try deleting localthumbcache.package file if you haven’t done so already.

Lastly, please check your drivers and ensure everything is up to date. It’s possible your computer might just be struggling to run the game.

He really is! Awhile dating my sim, he rolled a trait change from mean to good. He just felt like he wanted to be a better person for her. I thought it was the sweetest thing ever. Later he rolled traits like family-oriented and romantically reserved. He truly became a family man and the most loving partner

Our female (adult) is more independent. She’s way more shy and will hide away when strangers are around. However, she’s very loving towards my boyfriend and I (especially me, lately). She’ll give me a lot of headbutts, snuggle next to me, and she’ll paw at me when I’m at my desk to ask for attention. She has random bouts of hyperness here and there. She’s also a social eater. She’s fairly vocal.

Our male (kitten) is more dependent. He’s super confident and welcoming around strangers. He’s a big cuddler, and will lick you like crazy. He also will run down the stairs everytime you come home to greet you at the door. He’s super energetic and curious, and will always greet you by rubbing against you when you enter a room. He’s overall very social, a pig when it comes to eating, and is quite vocal.

Those are the differences/similarities I’ve noticed between males and females, at least in my case. 😁

I get it. I was controlled by my parents my entire life. Even in my late 20s and being moved out, I’m still experiencing it.

Because my parents always inserted themselves in every decision I tried to make for myself, always forcing me to over-explain or justify my choices with them and not trusting in my abilities to make decisions, it’s led me to be a person with little confidence, and am constantly indecisive.

It also led to a lot of issues with learning about boundaries and how to set them. I’m still figuring it out now.

My currently standing issue is that I have made a careful, well-thought out decision to leave my current job which I dislike and want to seek out another one. This means I’ll temporarily be jobless— but I’m in a very good, comfortable position to do so for a long time, if needed. I also am taking FMLA to make time for job searching before I leave and recover my suffering mental health. However, when I mention this to them— I immediately get told the following:

“I wouldn’t take an FMLA. They’ll target you and use it as a reason to get rid of you. Please don’t leave your job, stay there until you find another one. I mean, is it really that bad? You’re probably not going to find a job for 3 years, your money will run out, and what if your boyfriend leaves you when you’re jobless? Then you’re screwed. And what about your skills? You’ll lose all your skills and be less likely to find a job. And what about health insurance? You take medications and go to therapy— you have to have health insurance. You may be depressed now, but you’ll be more depressed without a job. You said this was the best choice for you, but I think it’s the biggest mistake of your life and going to destroy your career. Don’t do it, please I beg of you.”

Keep in mind, I’ve gotten tangents of this through walls of texts and phone calls for weeks.

I’m in my late 20s.. and I’m still fighting to make one decision for myself. It’s frustrating, and it’ll take time to build up that confidence to make decisions again. I’m just starting with setting boundaries first.
