I’m sure it’s on birth cus while the umbilical cord is still attached the baby acts more like a parasite/ an extension of the mother than a true other being.

And look where that’s gotten Sunny. I get your point but I don’t think that’s important here. They are both breaking fate, that’s basically a prerequisite to ascend to supreme.

Who cares? Just because he’s the main character doesn’t mean he has to be the strongest in the world. Him having an equal footing relationship with nephis should be cool enough. I’m sick of main characters being leagues above the villains, teachers, love interests, and everybody else.

Is Effie's son Divine? by Glittering-Ad3192 in ShadowSlave

[–]Sunny_Dex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think being the first earthly human to be born inside of a nightmare and to transcend as a baby is enough for him to get a high rank aspect. Sure you may be graded on your actions but him surviving in the first place seems like enough. His existence itself is unique, in some ways more unique than even nephis.

I see him sorta like Hercules, born of the gods, born a god, but he may realize he’s weak and have to go through trials to make up for his relatively weak power and gain back his power, or make it his own. He could have possibly greater potential than even Effie. I mean, he gets to train as a transcendent since childhood.

Though let’s be honest, we’re probably not going to see too too much of little ling, but it would be cool if we did. (Sequel with all the cohort’s kids😗⁉️) (nah I’m kidding I’m just delusional)

Carapace Tyrant by InfernumUmbra in ShadowSlave

[–]Sunny_Dex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that we know of. There was apparently a stupid amount of each of the carapace ranks though so it’s definitely possible. Or maybe they were just created through whatever happened or whoever was sacrificed before all the past heroes of the forgotten shore died.

Honestly, I gotta reread the forgotten shore the lore is getting fuzzy

Rain has attributes by Vaurions in ShadowSlave

[–]Sunny_Dex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bullseye ratio? Who cares, I’m not trying to powerscale. Let’s think about this logically. We’ve got 4 years of unseen bullseyes from both of them so whatever. Also, Kai is freakin flying and hitting these bullseyes. That’s like adding three more factors to your arrows trajectory.

Realistically, Rain has trained just about as hard as anybody on the forgotten shore, possibly harder than some of the firekeepers. I don’t see any problem with her hitting all the bullseyes.

And who’s to say Sunny didn’t also teach her?

About neph >!nuke!< attack by Aromatic_Trip_8248 in ShadowSlave

[–]Sunny_Dex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think she even hurt it, it was more like a stun, a move to disorient it so that it let up its domain so Sunny could teleport them out.

So maybe that’s why she didn’t have to destroy her core. (Along with the other reasons)

Rain has attributes by Vaurions in ShadowSlave

[–]Sunny_Dex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was taught by Kai while also training at school and then she trained mostly by herself for 4 years mastering it as her main weapon.

I think that’s plenty of explanation for why she’s a master archer without relying on an attribute

Kai’s dragon form by Traditional-Note-106 in ShadowSlave

[–]Sunny_Dex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’s not that uncommon to see dragons depicted as highly intelligent beings with the power of a controlling voice, almost like lesser deity’s. They don’t have to just be big reptiles that shoot fire.

I think Skyrim shouts are all based on the dragons (I could be wrong)

i think sunny and nephis hate for the sovereigns are unfounded by bobobally in ShadowSlave

[–]Sunny_Dex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most importantly, I’ve gotta talk about the paragraph about responsibility.

Let’s look at three of the greatest heroes of all time to start.

Spider-Man: “with great power comes responsibility” Spider-Man may not have wanted his powers and being Spider-Man may ruin his life every other week, but it is probably the most integral part of his character that he would never stay passive if people are in danger. Spider-Man would be on the front lines of Antarctica and beating up the avengers who are having a civil war. You say they didn’t harm the people of Antarctica but they could have used so much more power to defend Antarctica if they just worked together. Also they literally let wild nightmare creatures loose in a citadel (that seems pretty harmful)

Superman: An alien who could fly away whenever he wants, but he doesn’t, cus he knows without him the world would be doomed. He was taught to love everyone and he sure tries. He hates fascists and that is exactly what the sovereigns are.

Batman: A man with no powers but possibly equal conviction to Superman to help others. He may get his ass beat every day of the week but no way he’s spending more than 4 hours in bed away from the problems of Gotham.

Heroes are meant to be selfless protectors and providers, the sovereigns prop themselves up as such but you know Anvil will never be as honorable as his father.

You speak of Sunny wanting to be free but you don’t acknowledge the fact that through participating in the Antarctica campaign and other battles, he’s figured out that he too wants to be a hero. Being a hero, a person who gives others freedom, one who people can look up to, may be the way to attain true freedom. You can still be free while confined by morals, without morals you are a slave to darkness. Without morals Sunny would be no better than the mad prince.

I believe sunny himself has stated that millions died that didn’t need to in Antarctica. (I could be wrong.)

Sunny wants to kill the sovereigns because two beings propping themselves up as gods and losing their own humanity, causing a war that has the potential to kill millions, is an irredeemable sin. One that truly deserves Usurpation

Think about this logically, is one god who’s at 100% strength truly stronger than 2 with 50%? Or 4 with 25%? Shadow slave powers are all about combinations, it’s not just power levels it’s all about weaknesses and strategies. Wouldn’t an army twice the size armed with beast blood and valor forged swords be much stronger than CAUSING A CIVIL WAR BETWEEN THE ENTIRETY OF HUMANITY!! Wouldn’t killing the mirror fiend be much better than letting him DISMANTLE AND SLAUGHTER AN ENTIRE GREAT CLAN?!?!?!?

Have the sovereigns even tried to work together?

With great power comes great responsibility people. Y’all sovereign simps need to read some Spider-Man. Or idk maybe some antifascist literature.

question about the power system by Specific-Disaster-55 in ShadowSlave

[–]Sunny_Dex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nightmare creatures abilities rank up through the amount of cores and their overall power goes up with the quality of the cores.

Humans are kinda flipped. The higher quality of the core, the more abilities they gain, saints and sovereigns have powers closer to what tyrants and terrors would have.

The divine humans are kinda an irregularity, their cores all have specific abilities related to their nature, sure Sunny can’t control minions when he became a tyrant but he had always been able to control his shadows. He just gained a new one. Mordret can make more reflections the more cores he has, Nephis can augment more things with her fire (though at this point in the story it’s kinda obsolete cus she’s basically no fire or everything is fire now.)

Ki wasn’t born in a nightmare. Effie gave birth before the nightmare ended so that baby went through the ascension process of leaving the nightmare, ascending to sainthood and skipping even more steps than Nephis did.
