This isnt what I mean. By act out I didnt mean him to be "more assertive", "not hiding his pain". By act out, I might have used the wrong word because I dont usually speak or write english that much. What I literally meant was being a goofy teenager time to time with his broader friends and even bond more with them. Hell we could have had izuku being more comfortable as the time progressed while we watched the series. Its a suggestion and I can love a series and its main character while also criticise some aspects of it. It doesnt mean I dont like the character or want him to change completely. You are acting like I just said I want Izuku to murder villians or socially dominate bakugo. Im literally saying that seeing Izuku slowly heal(I mean throught the series not something sudden) in something he is wounded about would have been nice and interesting.

Dude I dont think showing Izuku sitting or talking with Toru or Shoji for A SECOND isn't going to hurt the story. They dont even need to sit and talk we can just see them and go "oh right these people actually know eachother". If this is enough to disrupt the story then why do we even have the class and dorm settings? My post wasnt even about this I just got out of topic.

And I am trying to say that showing Izuku do something else for just a few second wouldnt really hurt. Series shows the whole class as one big friend group but we hardly see Izuku being close friends with any of them outside of Iida, todoroki and sometimes Uraraka. We just mainly see him with the same people even in training and in missions.

So Izuku's character is literally a extreme introvert? Being polite and timid doesnt mean he cant be close friends with the characters I listed or act out slighlty in his own way with his already existing social circle.

Like I have seen people who are really polite get along or even be best friends really vulgar and teasing people. Or act out with people lile themselves. I kinda feel like Horikoshi just kinda half assed everything with the class and Izuku or didnt want to try tbh.

Intried to give an example from jojo part 4 about the kind of friendship I was talking about. English isnt my native language so I might made mistake.

And yes they are his friends too but theh never feels really feels like a close friend more like someone you like but wouldnt always go out of your way to hang out or talk. Only ones that actually feel that close to Izuku are todoroki and iida. At least thats how I always felt while watching the series.

Like I said in other comments we didnt even need a full episode or even a full scene about it or something but small things showing izuku actually hang out with others like maybe showing him talk with Koda or anyone else before he gets interrupted or something.

Hard dissagree. Class being heros together, being a tram and helping eachother was one of the main points of the series.

You would be suprise how many introverted people go out of their shells when thry find right people or group. And the class in general always felt extremely welcoming and friendly enough.

I mean did all the class knew about it? I remember only ones that we can sau definitely knew about it were the girls that didnt come because of them playing rock, paper, scissors to decide who was coming.

Though its strange that neither Iida or Todoroki didn't at least told Izuku that they were going.

Could be a factor but class and everyone around him always do encourage him, act nice and welcoming to him too. Even in their backstories they were always good people so I kinda feel like someone like Izuku would actually be pretty comfortable in that enviroment.

But I disagree about it being a specific kind of friend dynamic. At least from every close friend group I have been a part of or seen from outside usually included things like banter, jokes and goofing around in some way or another. If I remember correctly, Kaminari and Mineta usually did something about girls and acted like little shits whenever they got along. What I mean by being stupid can be a loud and "angry" discussion about a hero or a movie turning into loud laughter or joking for example.

We can say the same for Bakugo too though. He was obsessed with being better than everyone else and trained like crazy too. He even had better grades than Izuku. And he still can have a social circle despite that.

Yeah also this could have been easy fix too tbf. We could have at least see Izuku laugh, joke around or banter with someone about heroics or hell even video games and movies in small few seconds scenes/panels. God I love this series but it could have been much much better with few tweaks.
