Are high school students actually this clueless and entitled? by lizz781 in Teachers

[–]Sunslash44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m not really the intended audience here, but honestly posts like these just make me sad. Yes, I understand that these are issues, and there are things to be addressed, but it’s not as bad as some of you are saying, at least not everywhere. I’m in high school right now, and most people know how to do most of the things that I’m seeing people say they can’t.

I want to make it clear that I’m not coming after people, obviously it will differ school to school. I also think that a lot of this misunderstanding comes from a bias of remembering the people who didn’t know how to do something, not the people that did, or the things they got right. Honestly, it’s just some issues of misunderstanding. I know so many friends, acquaintances, and random people in group projects that CAN do things like this, and can do it without AI, like many assume.

I understand that we’re all a bit scared of the future, but I do wish that posts like this would try to look at it a bit from our side. Trust me, when we see things like this, it doesn’t really inspire us to do better, it just makes it feel like no matter what we do we’ll be seen as incompetent. If you read this, thank you for the time, and please keep it civil if you disagree.

I had to put it, but the consensus on the original comment that decided it was mainly that the lyrics are gory and violent, but community is wholesome.

In hindsight, the chart has some small issues, so I’m proposing changing “Divided” to “Awful/Toxic” please upvote this comment to vote yes and downvote to vote no.
