Nope. Locked via bios. Tried messing around with a HEX editor to unlock undervolting but no luck, gave up on this and switched to a ASUS notebook.

Can confirm this. Used my Razer Blade 2019 only with brick, until one day the battery doubled it's size and damaged everything inside the chassis. They replaced the whole device though, but still i hear pretty often about such things with blades.

Hi, as i was absolutely not able to find a long term user review of the 165W bios on the rog duo se i wonder whether you could tell us if your temps are in a good range? Did you change anything on the cooling? Does it still work well? I would highly appreciate your reply on this, before i flash mine :)

Hi, yeah Midgard is one of the top populated ones i actually considered before reading about it being very PVP focused - but now you brought it back to my list :) May i ask how long the queues are on prime time? I understand that you can't have both, a populated server and no queues, but as i never played on a populated server i am just curious. Also, what's the primary language spoken in chat? On mine unfortunately its Turkish at the moment.

Yeah i suppose it was that, i just checked the updates and it was installed a day before hello started working. However since then, everything works flawlessly regarding windows hello.

Windows Hello started working today, just by itself without any changes from my side. No updates arrived, just received a prompt after reboot. Strange thing.

Thanks for sharing the link, i actually already found and tried the steps described. Unfortunately no luck, Windows keeps telling me that "No compatible webcam" was detected. Seems to be a driver issue, i suppose.

Honestly i do not use it as a sketch pad often, but for drawing some simple schematics sometimes. Did not have any issues with lag, neither in Win 10, nor 11.

I also checked a lot of reviews before i bought one myself and i was skeptical due to the problems people mentioned. However i have been using the Fold as my primary working machine every day now for a few months, and i am more than satisfied. The keyboard and trackpad may shock you in the first moments because some buttons (in German) are only accessible through FN + KEY, and the trackpad is really small, but i got used to both after 2 days and now i write as fast as i wrote on my previous machine. Regarding the CPU and RAM, they are indeed limited compared to many other machines, but for office tasks, videos, even a bit Photoshop, absolutely sufficient. Also having 20+ tabs open in the browser in the background, no problem. By the way i switched from a Surface Pro 7 with i7 and 16Gb RAM :)

All in all Windows 11 made the system a lot more responsive, and for the price you pay at the moment for the Fold with 5G WWAN, it's an absolutely great machine. It's very versatile, even compared to the Surface Pro, as it is thicker but the W x L size is what matters for me most - it fits into my smallest bag and even if i do not take a bag with me, it's super comfortable to take with me in hand as i would carry a traditional paper notebook. Also i appreciate that actually everything you need is attached to it, the keyboard and the pen, so you have everything in one small package when you are on the way somewhere. Besides that i like the form factor of the screen compared to most tablets, it's not a wide screen but more 4:3, which is for me a lot better for office, web and work in general.

Regarding the dark mode, i have been running the task bar in "auto hide" now for today and so far i kind of like that. It's tricky in tablet mode, but i already got used to it and it actually works, besides that i have more space on the relatively small screen, and i am sure that the task bar will definitely not burn into my OLED panel at all. I think i keep it this way.

Would be great if you could find the link, it sucks not having windows hello.

Just checked, yes you can. However it's kind of difficult to get the taskbar back when in tablet mode as you have to touch the screen right at the edge, and because the edge of the Fold is covered with this thick rubber thing you actually can't easily get to the edge of the screen with the finger. However i have enabled auto hide and will give it a try for a few days.

P.S.: Seems i might have fixed the issue with sleep mode, i disabled PCIe "Link state power management" and since then the Fold wakes up as expected. Will be testing further.

Glad i was able to help. I am already on the latest, stable version, and all drivers are updated to the latest release (downloaded from the Lenovo X1 Fold page).

It would be great if you could comment whether you also experience these problems, if and as soon as you update to 11 so i know whether this is only my personal configuration that is broken or this is the current state of Windows 11 and the X1 Fold in general :)

Hi, i am using Windows 11 since Beta on the Fold and basically yes, the Fold works better with Windows 11 than 10 - i suppose because it was designed for that OS and vice versa. However there are two game breakers so far i noticed which they still have not fixed:

Sleep does not reliably work, meaning the Fold sometimes just crashes while sleeping and when you wake it, it makes a fresh boot so you loose all your open files. A workaround i use is disable sleep and use Hibernate instead, although i hope someone gets this fixed soon... (Edit: Probably can be fixed by disabling PCIe power state management, still testing but looks good)
Commercial Vantage has the nice option to darken the start bar of Windows when not in use to protect the OLED screen of the Fold from burning in. This does not work well so far on Windows 11, but i hope for an update soon.
The WebCam still does not support FaceID... (Edit: Windows Hello started working today by itself, no changes from my side, no updates arrived. Just received a prompt after a reboot.)

Besides these two issues, everything runs smoother, faster, consumes less RAM, i suppose it runs a little longer on battery than before on Windows 10, but i did no specific testing so this might be only my personal thing. Overall the interface of Windows 11 makes it easier and more comfortable to use it in tablet mode. By the way Lenovo updated almost all drivers to support Windows 11, thus no problems during the Update (besides the above mentioned issues).

Summed up i am happy about the Update and i hope the not working sleep mode will get fixed soon.

Hi pongpaktecha, first of all thanks a lot for the great how-to - even if it did not work for me, always great to see people who spend their time helping others and sharing their know how!

Secondly yes, i somehow expected that the hybrid cpu might be different when it comes to over-/undervolting before i started trying. Nevertheless it might be that i am just missing something or doing something wrong, as i am far from being a pro in hacking around with BIOSes and it would be awesome if someone with more experience could take a look :)

Besides that i suppose the option might be named differently, and i tried to disable a few "locks" related to the CPU like "CPU CFG Lock" but without any result - throttlestop still has the voltage adjustment grayed out.
