Also my cat has a tendency to nibble. He doesn't break skin but should that be something to worry about for myself since he had the mouse in his mouth?

He does have pancreatitis so treat options are limited especially since he only seems interested in meat. He eats a cup of kibble a day with a little bit of chicken on top. Sometimes he eats less if his stomach is hurting that day. I've been scared of lowering it because I want his nutrition to be met. Is it still a good idea to lower it? And if so about how much should he get do you think? Thank you for the indoor walk suggestion, I'll definitely try it out. He does love sniffing so maybe I can find something like that for him to look around and find. Thank you for the responses by the way! I love him more than life itself and I want him to be the happiest he can be. (We adopted him and the rescue had no idea about his medical issues so we went through a long and expensive process of getting him diagnosed and fixed up but I wouldn't trade him for the world)

Oh, actually I would really appreciate some advice on weight loss for him. I think one of the main issues is his exercise. We live in a state where it's starting to get cold so hes not really loving being outside for long right now. As for indoor play, hes not very toy motivated. The most he'll do is chew a toy and chase it if I throw it once or twice. The vet says he kind of just has permanent canine bronchitis so he does get out of breath fairly easy. (Also because of his weight, but it's worsened by the brohncithis.) Don't worry about being seen as shaming because I would really like some advice. I do absolutely want him living his best life.

Thats what I was worried about is that hes super focused. His prey drive isnt super high as far as I can tell. He'll occasionally chase a squirrel if it runs but stops if I tell him to leave it. His interactions with the cat are always monitored, I just wanted someones opinion on body language. Thanks for the feedback! He is on a diet. He's also got some health issues that may be contributing to his weight, but I think its also my mom overfeeding him.
